LG Direct View LED TV

The LG Direct View LED line of home theaters is equipped with a unique company technology that processes LEDs, removing the LCD layer, which usually broadcasts the image on the screen, in favor of the LEDs themselves (light-emitting diodes), while each pixel goes on the air through three diodes in each. The distance between pixel centers in the older model is about 0.9 mm, which corresponds to MicroLED standards, however, taking into account the aforementioned factor, some televisions received a pixel pitch of 1.2 or 1.5 mm. From 2 million to 33 million LEDs are placed in one model.

LG decided to bypass the stores for this new line of TVs, and instead they will be offered only through a dealer program of individual installation. The installation will include an LG engineer on-site and a two-year visit to LG for the first three years to check the display health, and also includes a Connected Care subscription that allows you to monitor your new TV remotely.

It is noted that during operation the device generates a huge amount of heat, so the developers recommended installing it in rooms with an advanced air conditioning system.

Conceptually, the TV resembles Samsung The Wall or Sony Crystal LED, these are massive screens consisting of millions of LEDs and focused on the consumer segment.[1]
