On August 31, 2022, Napoleon IT announced the transfer of its flagship product, PowerPrice, to the Yandex Cloud cloud platform. The solution allows you to monitor competitors' prices using computer vision and optimize the cost of goods using algorithmic machine learning. The move to the cloud allowed the company to speed up the provision of the service to end users and reduce the cost of supporting its work.

PowerPrice analyzes the data and determines the optimal prices according to the chosen strategy. This allows large offline retailers to conduct retail competitive analytics and implement dynamic pricing. On average, more than 8 million photos of competitors' prices pass through the service per day.

Before moving to the cloud, the backend platform worked on the company's own servers. For partners, this approach imposed restrictions related to the final amount of available computing resources. To launch the ML experiment, partners notified the company in 2-3 days about the need to allocate a resource. Moving to the cloud made it possible to reduce the time from request to launch to 15 minutes. The cloud approach made it possible to significantly speed up the launch of a set of CV models for experiments - their number increased by 3 times.

The cost-effectiveness of the product has also increased - the number of servers involved in work or not fully disposed of has decreased by 200%. Such results were achieved by more efficient utilization of computing power and optimization of network traffic. The use of cloud technologies has allowed the company to reduce the time to deploy updated services and accelerate product development.
