Karabutov Valery Borisovich

Valery Borisovich Karabutov was born on May 11, 1954, died on August 3, 2016.

Education

In 1976 gained the honors degree of the Moscow institute of management of S. Ordzhonikidze (specialty "economist-kibernetik"), completed also correspondence postgraduate studies at Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics.

Career

From 1976 to 1991 worked in VNIINS at State Logistics Committee of the USSR at first as the junior, and then senior research associate. Was the deputy chief accountant - the head of department of currency transactions of CB Natsionalny credit branch.

In 1991 Karabutov came to Lanit company where was engaged in development and deployment of the application software.

Till 2007 directed department of document management systems. Under its management LanDocs document management system was developed.

In 2007 it was appointed to the position of the vice president for information technologies, business processes and quality (CIO). With its direct participation a number of large projects, in particular, design and deployment of IT infrastructure of the new office building of Lanit was executed.

In 2013 Valery Karabutov entered rating "TOP-1000 the best Russian managers" Associations of managers and Kommersant publishing house: it is recognized by the best Chief information officer of Russia in category of IT company.

On the basis of the Decree of the Mayor of Moscow of July 15, 2014 No. 41-UM it is awarded with a distinction "For faultless service to the city of Moscow".

Death

Valery Karabutov died on August 3, 2016, reported TAdviser in Lanita.

Valery Borisovich Karabutov - the wonderful person who played a special role in the history of our company, one of those with whom began Lanit, the talented, carried-away by work head, the high-class professional died.

It enters a cohort of those to whom we are obliged by our special lanitovsky atmosphere of relationship. It was very wise, experienced person to whom it was possible to come for council. Very exacting to himself and to people around, not suffering indulgences, the perfectionist who always aimed at achievement of the best result and successfully conducted the command to it.

Valery Borisovich was with Lanit of nearly 25 years – since September, 1991. Here is how he told about it in the book to the twenty-fifth anniversary of the company:

I can select three different stages of the work in Lanit where I acted kind of in different forms. At the first stage it was entrusted to me to create business for software design. It was executed, and we created not only products tools, but also the software for the end user. At the second stage I created one more business for Lanit – the workflow system LanDocs. A present stage – the management of all centralized internal IT systems of Lanit as the vice president for IT

Valery Borisovich passed a huge, difficult way together with the company. With its active participation the small group of enthusiasts grew to the leader of the Russian information technology industry. Without exaggeration it is possible to tell that Lanit became such what it is now, in many respects thanks to dedicated work of Valery Borisovich Karabutov, his daring ideas, ability to solve problems which initially seemed something unreal.

We will lack Valery Borisovich, the recognized IT guru, the mentor, the friend who was able to inspire. We bring sincere condolences to the family of Valery Borisovich.
