2021: Ultrasound screening of mammary glands

Siemens Healthineers, together with employees of the Lapino Clinical Hospital Cancer Center, Mother and Child Group of Companies, conducted ultrasound screening of mammary glands for employees of the Voskresensky Mineral Fertilizers plant, part of the Uralchem group of companies, in Voskresensk (Moscow Region). This became known on October 4, 2021. Everyone was able to undergo screening for breast pathology, which was carried out on high-precision scanners. In total, more than 60 people were able to check their health and learn about the risks of developing neoplasms.

Breast cancer is one of the most dangerous and common cancer diseases in the world. In 2020 alone, more than 2.2 million patients with a similar diagnosis were identified, and the number of deaths from this disease was 685,000. Breast cancer (PMW) occurs in all countries of the world in women of any age after puberty, but in older age the risk of developing the disease increases significantly.

Passing annual screenings allows you to identify the neoplasm at the stage when it is treatable, which means that it increases the chances of completely defeating the disease. The state also supports this initiative and implements free examinations to identify cancer under the compulsory medical insurance policy, which are available to Russians in all regions.

The number of cancers is growing worldwide and is leading to huge physical, emotional and financial losses for both patients and their families and health systems, so we support similar social projects aimed at early diagnosis.
