Ferroni chose Ascon solutions for a new plant in Togliatti

2021: Implementation of ASCON software complex

On October 13, 2021, ASCON announced the launch of a project to introduce the ASCON software complex at the Ferroni-Togliatti plant.

According to the company, the design and technological preparation of the production will use the LOCSMAN engineering data management system: PLM, the COMPAS-3D 3D 3D modeling system with applications, the POLIN regulatory reference information management system: MDM, the technological CAD VERTICAL.

The project provides for the replacement of a foreign design system and integration with the SAP platform. The solution provider and integrator is the ASCON Volga Regional Center.

In the near future, Ferroni-Togliatti plans to create an engineering center for the enterprise, the main "digital" design tools in which ASCON solutions will become.

When choosing a basic IT solution for the engineering circuit, Ferroni took into account the experience of using ASCON systems in other industries.

Due to the active growth of the company, increased requirements for the speed of development and preservation of product quality, it became necessary to formalize and optimize the business processes of design and technological preparation of production. We are at the beginning of an important path of complete digitalization that every modern production company must go through. The level of automation at the Ferroni plant can be envied by the largest Russian enterprises: robotic production lines, modern metalworking equipment, full-scale use of the ERP system. Therefore, it is especially valuable that domestic solutions were chosen at Ferroni for design and technological preparation of production. In particular, the current foreign CAD is planned to be replaced by COMPASS-3D, and POLYNOM: MDM will be used as a central MDM system, partially replacing the directories of the foreign ERP system.
