2021: Opening of R&D center based on regional operator Skolkovo

The Skolkovo Foundation and Ferroni signed a partnership agreement. This became known on November 25, 2021. The research center at the site of the Zhigulevskaya Dolina Technopark became the first partner R&D center opened on the basis of the regional operator Skolkovo.

Ferroni's R&D center will focus on advanced smart door and lock technologies as well as manufacturing automation technologies. The following materials (including materials used in the production of REA), sensors, industrial robotics, data visualization systems and production process management systems, MES and ERP, production business analytics were chosen as the first focus.

The Fund is already cooperating with Ferroni in several areas: the search for technological solutions in the Russian Federation and abroad, the joint definition of goals and tools for the company's own research and development activities and ROC, the promotion of Ferroni's innovative products on the Foundation's sites, as well as the training of the company's partners in working with Ferroni products.

The agreement is in fact a reflection of the importance of the vectors of cooperation, and the readiness of the parties to continue to move in these areas together. In September 2021, the company officially opened a production site in Togliatti. Obviously, seeing a company leading development and having its own production is a good for both business and the region, since all the prerequisites are created for the constant introduction of technologies and the creation of high-performance jobs, the concentration of highly skilled personnel, said Oleg Makarov, Deputy Head, Partner Director of the Regional Development Department of the Skolkovo Foundation.

Ferroni plans to become a vertically integrated company. Doors are already complex biometric systems, MCDS, digital doubles. And also these are robotic lines of its production, robotic delivery points. The company sees the solution of these problems both in advanced design and training tools, as well as in the field of electronic commerce, its own Smart House systems, as well as in its own electronic equipment and component base.

The Ferroni group of companies is really growing from a federal structure to a company with an international agenda. Now, in order to compete with leading global manufacturers, and this is a large range of areas in our segment, constant improvement of the ecosystem and the introduction of advanced innovative technologies are required. It also requires a strategic Intellectual Partner, which is the Skolkovo Foundation, an infrastructure platform and leader in organizing acceleration programs in Russia, developing startups and working with large corporations. The point of application we chose Technopark 'Zhigulevskaya Valley' as our production is located in Togliatti. The company is constantly engaged in research and development, as well as their implementation. As of November 2021, a roadmap has been formed to launch the accelerator in the following areas: technical vision, automation and robotization of processes, biometric access systems.
