2022: Switching to Directum RX 3.4
On August 3, 2022, mobile operator Volna Mobile announced that it had switched to an updated version of the system, accelerated work with organizational and administrative documentation and increased executive discipline. Updating the decision to work with orders in Directum RX - automatic generation of orders based on items directly from the order card.
To solve the main business problems, the mobile operator switched from the outdated configuration of the document management system to the updated version Directum RX 3.4. The contractor for the project was a partner - Directum a business integrator. Intellectika The team of performers carried out further improvements on the basis of the updated system.
First of all, the Volna Mobile company optimized the process of preparing orders. To form document cards, it was more convenient to increase the number of fields. Added goals, controlling employee, indefinite tasks and others. This information is automatically pulled into the version of the order. And its administrative part is created in the required format and written to a hidden field, which is selected when setting up the template.
To automate the distribution of tasks for familiarization or execution of orders, the system specifically prescribed a background process. With its help, documents marked "Signed" are selected and sent to the owner. Additionally, added functionality to select multiple performers and view the full text of the task without scrolling. In total, 130 employees, including all top managers, use the solution.
The transition of Volna Mobile to an updated version of Directum RX and the optimization of work with orders took 5 months. The main phase of the project coincided with the COVID pandemic.
This was a migration of processes from an outdated version of the system to an updated version. But we did not just make some changes, but completely moved to the updated software. We managed to solve key business problems, speed up the work of EDM, get away from MSQL DBMS and establish remote interaction. It is worth noting that the project fell at the height of the pandemic, while all interaction was operational, in constant contact with the integrator. We thank our partners for this, reported by leading business analyst "Wave Mobile" Denis Shapovalov
