At the end of December 2021, the Nizhny Novgorod company Rehabilitation Technologies agreed with the Agency for the Development of Medical and Social Services of Uzbekistan on the supply of 14 exoskeletons for medical use to the republic.

This was reported by the press service of the Innovation Assistance Fund (FSI), which previously provided the Russian company with a grant of 20 million rubles. The start of deliveries of products to Uzbekistan is scheduled for the first half of 2022. At the same time, specialists of Rehabilitation Technologies will teach the peculiarities of working with exoskeletons in Uzbekistan.

An exoskeleton with a knee module is designed to restore people with spinal cord injuries in medical institutions. The device is also potentially applicable to wheelchair users: it allows you to lead a more mobile lifestyle, and intensive classes with it can, for example, help you learn to climb and go down the stairs again. The exoskeleton can be equipped with neurointerface and rehabilitation gloves. The development of technology was carried out for about two years.

It will allow providing timely assistance to patients with any level of activity, which implies almost complete restoration of the necessary level of mobility and natural gait of a person, "said Timur Radaev, regional representative of the foundation, director of Ankudinovka technology park.

According to the director of Rehabilitation Technologies Alexander Emelyanov, the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region assisted the company in obtaining an export contract.

The company "Rehabilitation Technologies," which is part of the MADIN group of companies, has been a resident of the Ankudinovka technology park since 2018 and has been producing equipment for rehabilitation, physiotherapy, urology and gynecology, as well as organizing scientific research in various fields of medicine, including oncology.[1]
