On December 29, 2021, AXELOT announced the implementation of the AXELOT WMS X5 system in ProStore.

ProStore implemented Axelot WMS X5

According to the company, ProStore is a Russian d2c operator that provides outsourcing of direct sales to brands, retailers and online stores. Partners of the company are Russian and international brands focused on building trust relations with the end user, increasing user loyalty. In 2020, the company's revenue amounted to about 2 billion rubles, increasing almost threefold compared to the previous period, necessitating other infrastructure solutions.

With AXELOT WMS solutions, the company is ProStore familiar firsthand. Previously, the company's warehouse was automated on the basis of 1C: WMS Logistics. Warehouse Management 4. " The dynamic development of the company, the emergence of services for brands, the desire to meet the needs of b2b customers and maintain an appropriate level of loyalty to end-user brands have made it necessary to expand the capabilities of warehouse logistics, including through the introduction of updated WMS. The experience of using the AXELOT solution made the choice of the system obvious - we chose AXELOT WMS X5, the fifth generation of WMS with a number of updates, contacting AXELOT for implementation services.

The objectives of the project were as follows:

  • Automate a larger warehouse to meet the growing needs of current customers, expanding the range of ProStore services used, and b2b customers.
  • Create the ability to scale the solution to other warehouses of the company to ensure rapid growth in the regions of presence.
  • Develop functionality to expand the list of fullfilm services for the company's customers.
  • Using the data bus, combine WMS, CMS and Internet portals into a single information loop, including using FTP and APIs for exchange.
  • To reduce dependence on work of the WMS operator (work of the operator with documents of the entering and proceeding streams was carried out in the manual mode) for increase in performance and quality of work.

As a pilot project for implementation, the ProStore logistics center in Mytishchi was chosen, which processes the goods of many fans and provides a wide range of fullfilm services that provide options for additional processing of goods and orders (including the Yandex branded online store). The total storage area is about 1400 sq.m., front pallet and shelf racks are used.

The launch of AXELOT WMS X5 decided to carry out in the framework of the project with one of the key partners of the company, most sensitive to the service component and using a wide range of fullfilm services ProStore - b2c and b2b shipping, work with marketplaces on FBO, FBS systems and, the most difficult - the FBS Experss option with the toughest SLminutes with PA. Such a solution made it possible to fully "run in" the functionality and implemented changes in the operating mode, without the risk of slowing down processes for all fans or even suspending the operation of the warehouse. Following the results of the test launch, the scheme was included in the regular operating processes of the company and will be extended to all customers in the near future.

The AXELOT WMS X5 system has allowed you to expand and optimize the processes of fullfilm services, taking into account the specifics of the business processes of various winners.

The project resulted in the following:

  • To support the active growth of the company, the processes of transferring receipt and shipment plans were optimized. Additionally, a mechanism was added to the loader to control the compliance of the specified barcode and article in the system directories. Automatic creation of storage objects has been implemented for item receipt plans.
  • A service window has been introduced to record the processing of an item at the packaging workplace, in which the packer notes all the services that he has rendered while handling the item and their quantity.
  • To account for the storage services of goods in the acceptance area, a mechanism was implemented to record the storage of MX (storage places) that have undergone preliminary acceptance. This solution provides an optimal accounting mechanism and delivery acceptance accuracy.
  • Returns are accepted by scanning the return barcode from the shipping label. When you scan a barcode, the system automatically generates the expected receipt based on the shipment order to which the return barcode belongs. The implemented system saves the supply chain history and ensures transparency in the movement of orders.

All this made it possible to optimize the efficiency of warehouse resources by at least a third, and the warehouse can process 30% more orders per unit of time.

Together with the AXELOT and ProStore project teams, an integration loop was created between AXELOT WMS X5 and the CMS using the DATAREON ESB data service bus. 5 mobile and 5 stationary workplaces are automated.

With AXELOT WMS X5, ProStore has optimized the number of auto-scheduled order activities. The list of considered and provided storage services and additional operations has been expanded, process transparency has been optimized, and product storage accuracy has been increased. The process of creation of the list of rendered services and billing for fans is automated.

Now in the warehouse, storage services, in addition to the main mechanism, are also recorded for receiving areas, including for unloaded, but not accepted goods.

After the initial processing of the order (filling in the delivery type), the planning process starts automatically. Order selection is carried out in a group method, when grouping, the total quantity of the item that falls into one picking wave is analyzed. Sorting for mono order groups (with one line in the composition) is performed automatically.

Packed orders are automatically consolidated and sent to the appropriate area delivery type. During loading and unloading operations, the services (additional operations) performed by the storekeeper are recorded. Serial numbers are recorded, including the inspection of shipped serial numbers at the time of receipt of returns. In the warehouse, flexible settings have been made for the compatibility of storage objects, for example, the system automatically prohibits mixing different batches of the same article in the selection area, but allows multi-article placement for storage objects belonging to different groups of goods.
