2021: Development of order renewal automation tool

Softline Ecommerce has developed a tool for Kaspersky Lab to automate the renewal of orders. This was announced by Softline on January 12, 2022.

The Softline development team provided revenue growth for Kaspersky Lab online sales by introducing its own tool to simplify the buyer's path during repeated calls. Softline automates the process of filling the basket and entering customer data, making service renewal or repeated purchases as convenient and quick as possible.

Softline offered Kaspersky Lab its own tool to implement the idea of Preferred Orders (pre-filled orders) for the convenience of users, in order to minimize the percentage of refusal to renew licenses and increase the efficiency of customer retention.

Initially, the goal was set for the team: to minimize the percentage of refusal to renew licenses and increase the efficiency of customer retention. Softline Ecommerce specialists have developed a tool for Kaspersky Lab that allows you to automatically send license renewal links with fields pre-filled on the basis of data previously entered by the client. The convenience and simplification of the license renewal process increased the conversion, the performance showed an increase of 15%.

The tool was first tested in an online store allsoft.ru. The first test was launched on one product, which is the third largest sales among the home line, growth amounted to + 26% of revenue in the first quarter after launch. The next test passed on the second largest product, the third - on the product leading in sales. At the launch of each of the three best-selling products, there was a positive trend in sales growth. The tool has become an intermediate link between a recurring and a regular order.

Elena Fedorova added that the generation of the license caused technical difficulties when superimposing our new, just invented scheme on the existing licensing algorithm of the vendor, in which there were no ready-made rules for PMR, but they were resolved. After that, the idea arose to extend this service to individuals who paid not with a card, but, for example, through Sberbank Online. We have many more such clients than legal entities, and questions arose: how best to build effective communications with the client; How to report automatically created orders that require manual payment whether it is necessary to inform the client that he has a certain "subscription," to request his prior consent to such communication. Having solved them, the service was launched.
