The State Archive of the Tomsk Region is a repository of documents not only on the history of the Tomsk province, but also on the pre-revolutionary history of Western Siberia and Northern Kazakhstan. GATO funds store documents from 1629. In the period until 1917 alone, the archive has 300 thousand cases.
