Veed.io is a British startup developing an online video editing platform. 2022: Raising $30 million

February 9, 2022 it became known about the investment of $30 million in Veed.io. The Series A funding round was attended by the Russian s16vc fund, created by Профи.ру co-founder Yegor Rudy, Payment Systems co-founder Anatoly Marin, Borzo co-founder Alexander Shamis, Food Party founder Mikhail Peregudov and Webinar founder Alexander Alpern. The fund's manager is Oleg Bibergan, former executive director of Goldman Sachs in Russia.

The main investor in this transaction was Sequoia. For Veed.io, this is the first attraction of third-party investments - previously the startup was financed by its own funds and the money of the founders. The investment received in February 2022, the Veed.io team intends to spend on expanding the functionality of its platform. In the future, it is planned to add tools for hosting and live video broadcasts.

In addition, part of the money will go to increase the staff of the company. Her office is in London, but in the future it is planned to recruit developers in other countries.

By February 2022, the video editing platform has 1 million users, and the company estimates annual revenue at $7 million.[1]
