2022: Organization of cashless payment for excursions and souvenirs at the Ruskealsky Express retro train
Specialists LANTER"" (part of the group) LANIT realized the possibility of cashless payment for excursions and souvenir products by installing special terminals in the Ruskealsky Express retro train. This was announced by LANIT on February 10, 2022.
Information and payment terminals appeared on the tourist train on steam traction, daily running on the route Sortavala - Mountain Park "Ruskeala" - Sortavala. With their help, passengers can purchase entrance tickets to the Ruskeala Mountain Park, pay for a walk through the area in a horse-drawn crew, choose and order souvenir products with subsequent delivery to the place of travel, pay for a visit to the photo purchase and other services of the park.
Each terminal is equipped with a large multi-touch IPS screen, has a friendly interface for selecting services and paying for them. The solution provides acceptance of all types of payment cards, as well as popular contactless payment instruments. Each transaction is registered with the Federal Tax Service using cloud-based payment financialization. To provide services in the zone of unstable communications, LANTER specialists introduced a mechanism for deferred payment and monitoring unpaid services with simultaneous notification of train conductors.
In addition, payment terminals are used to demonstrate interactive cognitive and, advertizing content which allows passengers to learn more information about their journey on the express.
This is not the first year we have been engaged in transport projects and see our mission in promoting payment solutions in various niches where cashless settlement is required. As of February 2022, more than ten devices were installed on trains, more than five thousand operations are carried out through them every month, which undoubtedly indicates their demand and popularity among passengers. Moreover, these devices have a wide range of applications, they will be useful both in shopping centers, and in retail stores and supermarkets, fast food restaurants, general cash stations, self-service machines, hotels and museums, said Kunyakh Victor, head of sales at LANTER.
