Simetra has completed a project to develop an integration platform for ITS of the Sverdlovsk Region based on RITM³

Customers: Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the Sverdlovsk Region

Product: RITM3 - Real time integration transport measurements modelling managemet

Project date: 2021/12  - 2023/11
Project's budget: 44 300 000 руб.

2023: Delivery of a set of modules for the Unified Transport System Management Platform

GC SIMETRA supplied a set of modules for the Unified transport System Management Platform (EPUTS). Sverdlovsk region The modules are implemented on the basis of the ³ digital platform. RITM Simetra announced this on December 21, 2023.

Previously, many transport problems were solved using German software PTV Visum, Russian development from SIMETRA will allow import substitution of these solutions. It also works correctly with any operating system.

SIMETRA solutions have proven themselves well - an efficient IT will allow us to systematically develop the transport system of the region, proactively respond to changes and control all processes in this area, - said Denis Chegaev, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Sverdlovsk Region.

As of December 2023, the EPUTS of the Sverdlovsk Region has integrated data at the level of the municipalities of Yekaterinburg (15 subsystems) and Nizhny Tagil (14 subsystems), as well as at the regional level - the Sverdlovsk Region (10 subsystems). This allows you to obtain, analyze and use in your work a complete picture of data on transport in order to make informed decisions.

A single modular platform for managing the transport system of the region allows you to coordinate the work of all services at the regional and municipal levels. The modules help to quickly solve the entire range of problems in transport and provide independence from the software of foreign vendors, including through import substitution within the framework of the design core of the platform for transport macro modeling, "emphasized Andrei Prokhorov, technical director of the company.

The implementation of the project began back in 2021 - with the development of the intellectual transport system (ITS) of Yekaterinburg, which is part of the EPUTS of the Sverdlovsk Region. The work was carried out in three stages, in total, the company's specialists supplied 14 modules based on the RITM³ solution. As a result, the region received a full set of modules of the ITS integration platform, which not only meets the requirements of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, but also exceeds them.

Thus, in the first year of work on the project for the needs of the region, GIS modules, electronic KSODD, a solution for monitoring the effectiveness of ITS and issuing transport permits for carriers were created. In 2022, the Sverdlovsk Region received modules for organizing road works, managing public transport, transport forecasting and modeling.

In 2023, SIMETRA developed for the customer a module for dispatch control of ITS in case of emergencies and armed forces, solutions for creating a digital twin of the region, administering transport offenses, managing parking process configurations and others.

The digital platform RITM³ (Realtime Integrated Transport Monitoring & Modeling & Management) is a completely domestic solution, ON registered in the register of Russian programs. Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Russia Thanks to the transport forecasting and modeling module delivered within the framework of the project, all transport models within the framework of the EPUTS of the Sverdlovsk Region ceased to depend on foreign software and work on the design core of the domestic digital platform RITM³.

In addition to the standard functionality for such solutions, the SIMETRA team has developed additional functions, including unloading reporting forms in accordance with customer requirements, integration with road certification subsystems and assessing the prediction of the transport situation of road loading. In addition, a draft information security system was developed to ensure uninterrupted operation of the IT and protect against data leaks.

2022: The start of the creation of modules of the Unified Transport System Management Platform

On February 21, 2022, Simetra announced the beginning of the creation of a complex of modules that are part of the Unified Transport System Management Platform (EPUTS) of the Sverdlovsk Region.

The development of the intelligent transport system (ITS) of Yekaterinburg, part of the EPUTS of the Sverdlovsk Region, SIMETRA began at the end of 2021. In February 2022, the first stage of module development was completed.

The specialists have developed a number of modules based on their own solution - the RITM³ digital platform (Realtime Integrated Transport Monitoring & Modeling & Management), which helps to solve the problems of planning and modeling information transport systems. The SIMETRA team has launched a geo-information system for collecting, storing, analyzing and graphical visualization of data (GIS), the Electronic KSODD module, the module for issuing transport permits and the module for monitoring the effectiveness of ITS.

A distinctive feature of this project is its scale. We have to create all EPUTS modules of the Sverdlovsk region, some of which will be special for this region, "said Andrey Prokhorov, Deputy General Director of SIMETRA.

The next stage of work implies the creation of a group of ITS subsystems in Yekaterinburg. As a result, the following modules of the RITM³ platform will be integrated into the IT: the road management module, the public transport traffic control module, which is complemented by the ability to work with data in terms of route and scheduling, the transport forecasting and modeling module, the coordinated traffic control module and the centralized information module for traffic participants.

For the creation of an intelligent transport system in 2022, the Sverdlovsk region received 341.7 million rubles from the federal budget. Of these, we will direct about 44.3 million to the creation of a unified platform for managing the transport system of the region, the main goal of which is to coordinate the work of subsystems and services already operating at both municipal and regional levels. With the help of the RITM³ platform, which has already proven itself well in other regions of Russia, we expect to get an efficient intelligent transport system, "said Denis Chegaev, Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads of the Sverdlovsk Region.

The data that will be integrated into the EPUTS of the Sverdlovsk Region as a result of the project will allow the region to solve a large range of tasks - from collecting and storing information from all ITS subsystems and visualizing the current state of the transport system in real time to coordinated management within the boundaries of urban agglomerations at the municipal level. The system will allow at a different level to organize interaction between the regional and municipal levels of management of the transport system.
