2022: Launch of an express audit of IB risks against the background of sanctions
On March 21, 2022, Informzaschita announced that it was launching an express audit service for information security risks against the background of the imposition of sanctions by Western vendors and the transfer of systems to Russian counterparts. In conditions where decisions need to be made lightning fast, but at the same time prevent a fatal error, it is an express audit that will help analyze the infrastructure, its vulnerabilities and risks and offer the optimal combination of domestic solutions for every individual customer.
IT turned out to be one of the badly affected industries after the introduction of tough Western sanctions. Cooperation with Russia was suspended by large foreign developers, finding a replacement for which is not easy - this process may take some time, and it is most important for business. Under such conditions, Russian companies have to not only maintain uninterrupted operation of systems in order to ensure all business processes, but also take care of their safety.
In connection with these events, there has been a repeated increase in requests for the replacement of foreign products, as well as for the transfer of infrastructure to domestic cloud services. If earlier the import substitution of IT and IB solutions went at a measured pace, and many experts did not believe that it was fully feasible even by 2024, then as of March 2022, conditions changed.
"We see quite high demand for products such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, antiviruses, sandboxes and anti-spam systems. But detailed analysis needs to be done for each system individually, "- says Deputy Technical Director of Informzaschita Alexander Kuznetsov. |
In order for the business not to cease to function, it is necessary to switch from foreign to domestic products in a short time. Too many factors should be considered and the most critical infrastructure in terms of denial of service should be kept in mind. This requires a detailed risk audit of the hardware and software used in the infrastructure.
"It is safe to say that the price of errors has increased several times, so before introducing something new, it is important to understand how painless it will be for the organization. We, as an integrator, accumulate both Western and domestic development experience in the IB for decades, so we see the full picture, "- told the chief architect of "Information Defense" Pavel Demidov. |
In addition, company experts help make the transition from foreign cloud solutions to similar standalone solutions or clouds of Russian providers.
