Owners

2016

The founders of Informzaschita, according to open data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities for February 2016, are four - Pyotr Efimov, Vladimir Gaikovich, Dmitri Yershov and Yury Sokolov (each have 25% of the shares). In fact, everything has changed a long time ago. Back in the mid-2000s, Yury Sokolov left the company, selling his shares. "He was already retired, wanted stability, to travel the world," his acquaintance says. In 2011, Vladimir Gaikovich left.

As of February 2016, according to Efimov, Informzashchita Group of Informzaschita has three shareholders - he himself, Yershov and a certain strategic investor. According to a Forbes source in the company, this investor bought out a stake in Sokolov, Gaikovich, part of the shares of Yershova and Efimov and consolidated at least 75% of the company's shares. Efimov confirms that he does not have a controlling stake with Yershov, and adds that the investor does not participate in operating activities.

In early 2016, four sources told Forbes that we are talking about a representative of Georgy Gens, the founder of the Lanit group of companies.

"Gens entered his capital and then supported" Informzaschita "finances and managing solutions," says one of the former employees of Informzaschita. Efimov denies this.

Presumably, Gens tried to cooperate with Informzaschita back in 2008, when a Linux-based project was discussed. In 2012, Treolan, owned by Lanit, acquired SafeLine, the distributor of Informzaschita, with a turnover of about 1 billion rubles.

"After the takeover of SafeLine, everyone was waiting for this to happen with Informzaschita," says one of Gaikovich's former subordinates
.

The owner of Lanit in 2010 praised Informzaschita in the comments to the online publication CRN: "The company offers interesting products and solutions, is constantly growing and developing, strengthening its position in the market. Information protection is one of the most important elements of IT, in particular in the organization of cloud computing. "

According to one of the competitors of Informzaschita, Gens took advantage of the successful conditions to conduct a deal that opened up access to a new information security market for Lanit and large state customers.

Georgy Gens himself at the beginning of 2016, in a conversation with Forbes, refused to confirm that he owned shares in Informzaschita. "No, it's not," Gens replied. But after a short pause.

2023

Since October 26, 2023 , Pyotr Efimov has left the post of general director of Informzaschita, his friend told TAdviser. This information is confirmed by the data in the Kontur.Focus database. The post of general director was taken by Mikhail Vizgin, who previously worked as the financial director of Informzaschita.

In addition, Efimov ceased to be a shareholder of Informzaschita, a source told TAdviser. According to him, Efimov owned 15% of the company's shares, now they have been transferred to the owner of Lanit, Philip Gens.

Thus, Pyotr Efimov became the last of the three founders of Informzaschita to leave the company. Earlier, Vladimir Gaikovich and Dmitri Yershov left it. In 2016, Forbes wrote that their shares were bought by the founder of the Lanit Group of Companies Georgy Gens, becoming the majority shareholder of Informzaschita as a result. In 2018, George Gens died, and his son Philip became his heir.

The press service of Lanit told TAdviser that "Pyotr Efimov decided to focus on other business projects, so his share was redistributed between the majority shareholder and another private investor."

To read the inscription in the technique of Slavic elm, it is enough to learn two simple rules:

  1. One letter element can be the next letter element.
  2. If the letters are written in a column, the order of reading them goes from top to bottom, that is, in priority, the letter written above. The author of the print, Yuri Wolf, is a calligrapher working in the Neorusskaya Vyaz style. This style of calligraphy was born in the process of rethinking ancient Slavic writing to modern realities.

Yuri applies his skills in completely different areas. From painting things for everyday wardrobe and household items to painting the facades of buildings and interiors of premises. Calligrapher's collaborations spread to many parts of Russia and abroad. In total, Yuri Wolf completed over 50 projects in September 2019, popularizing this style of calligraphy. The largest project so far is a large-scale painting of the main square of the city of Ulyanovsk. The size of the calligraphic composition was 2500 m2.

Each week, trainees listened to lectures from "Informzaschita" experts, attended workshops and sorted out various tasks based on real-life cases. The entire learning process was gamified and this helped not only identify future "stars," but also identify gaps in the knowledge of students. According to the students themselves, the proposed format of classes and timely feedback from teachers made the internship more informative and productive.

At the end of the internship program, a specially formed "admissions committee" from "Informzaschita" conducted final exams for all graduates. With the help of the exam, the most capable students who were offered a job in the company were identified. In "Informzaschita" for graduates of this and future internship programs, a special accelerator unit was created on the basis of the technical directorate, which allows beginners of "Informzaschita" after entering the staff to continue training and increase expertise in the most comfortable conditions with a clear step-by-step system.

Increase in the number of employees on the basis of internships

"Informzaschita" on September 28, 2018 announced the replenishment of the company's staff by 8 young specialists. This was the result of cooperation between Informzaschita and technical universities in Moscow and the active development of the company's internship program. All specialists underwent preliminary training as part of the training sessions of universities.

In 2018, Informzaschita twice took on the practice of students from such universities in Moscow as MIET (Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology), MTUSI (Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics), Moscow State University of Transport named after Maurice Torez (Moscow State Linguistic University), HSE (Higher School of Economics) and RUTH (Russian University of Transport, formerly MIIT), which is a long-term partner of the company.

Only the best students of partner universities, who have shown a good result during their studies, enter the internship at Informzaschita. The course program consists of two stages: the first two weeks, employees of the consulting and outsourcing directorate tell students about the company, its project activities, give an introductory course on information security from a practical point of view. The training of future specialists of the company is conducted under the leadership of Stanislav Antoshkin, auditor of the banking systems security department. Further, after obtaining theoretical knowledge, the departments choose the best interns and train the children for three months in the areas that they are interested in. If at the end of the internship the assigned tasks are completed, the company draws up trainees for the position of junior specialists. Many of them continue to study at universities, so combining work with study, they remain in part-time employment. Those who are on staff then work in the company's departments such as the industrial safety center, the security analysis department, the corporate center for detecting, preventing and eliminating the consequences of computer attacks, the consulting and audit department and the service center.

In addition, employees of Informzaschita simultaneously combine their main employment in the company with work in partner universities. For example, Stanislav Antoshkin teaches at MIET, and Vitaly Malkin, head of the security analysis department, at HSE (Higher School of Economics).

2017

Revenue of RUB 8.314 bn (+ 21%)

Informzaschita, a Russian system integrator in the field of information security, reported on the results of the financial year: the total revenue of the Informzaschita group of companies in 2017 amounted to 8.314 billion rubles. (including VAT), which is 21% higher than the same indicator in 2016.

"In 2017, the company grew well and even outstripped the growth rate of the market. This is due to the emergence of large projects implemented for both new and existing customers, as well as serious government attention to increasing cyber threats, "said Petr Efimov, president of the Informzaschita group of companies. - The ease of implementation and the low cost of organizing cyber attacks has led to an increase in the number of cybercriminals. The sensational attacks in 2017 made companies think about this in almost all sectors of the economy. All this required adjustments and changes in the regulatory framework. Thus, many companies began to prepare for the fulfillment of the requirements of Federal Law No. 187 "On the Security of the Critical Information Infrastructure of the Russian Federation" in 2017. In the banking industry, the main growth driver was the updated standard STO BR and GOST R 57580.1 - on the safety of banking operations. "

In the previous year, Informzaschita implemented over 300 projects for state, financial, industrial organizations, as well as for companies from the telecommunications sector and other sectors of the economy. The largest increase in the company's revenue was provided by projects for state (+ 43%) and financial organizations (+ 27%).

"If we talk about completed projects, then in 2017 Informzaschita continued cooperation with companies that are among the TOP-10 largest companies in Russia in all sectors of the economy," said Oleg Bodunov, commercial director of Informzaschita. - Several projects of the country's scale have been implemented. For example, we participated in a project to create a protected specialized state information system commissioned by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Fisheries and Communications Monitoring System Center," which will be scaled up to all vessels of the Russian fishing fleet. Many projects were made for insurance companies such as Ingosstrakh, SC Alliance, Zetta Insurance. In addition, Informzaschita designed and put into commercial operation several corporate information security monitoring centers (SOC) for the largest companies in the country. I think that tightening legislation, including changes in the requirements of the FSTEC of Russia, and a trend towards increased attention to cybersecurity issues from the business community will allow us to maintain growth rates in 2018. "

In accordance with the chosen strategy, Informzaschita showed a significant increase in the information security services segment by 22%. This is primarily due to the fact that, in addition to basic services, emphasis was placed on the development of services in terms of the prompt preparation of recommendations for localizing damage to information systems based on monitoring and processing of security events. In addition, the number of projects for the comprehensive survey and development of programs for the development of information security companies in the financial industry has increased.

Informzaschita has the highest partner statuses of leading IT and information security manufacturers of software and hardware from all over the world and by the end of 2017 has over 100 partners in its portfolio.

The Company continued to develop its competence centers. So the service center in 2017 doubled the number of service authorizations and now provides the first and second lines of support for major manufacturers of information protection tools, such as "Security Code," Check Point, "Aladdin RD.," Infotecs, Gigamon, "MFI Soft," InfoWatch, Arbor Networks and others. During the year, the Informzaschita Service Center provided more than 3.5 thousand consultations. The average response time of engineers to handling and preparing recommendations for critical incidents is now 21 minute. In general, the average time to resolve incidents decreased by 32% to 3 hours. Over the past year, the staff of the center's specialists has increased by 33%. Employees of the center received 35 new service technical certificates. Thanks to this and other achievements in 2017, Informzaschita 's revenue for the service increased by 35%.

Security Operation Center (SOC) "Informzaschita" was transformed into a center for countering cyber attacks. The SOC technology platform has been modernized, processes have been optimized, which are now built on the basis of the concept of preventive detection and prevention of cyber threats, which are being searched by the formed cyber intelligence unit. Experts from the Center for Countering Cyber Attacks have discovered a number of serious vulnerabilities in email clients of Yandex and Apple Mail services, various mobile and web applications, as well as in remote banking systems (RBS). During the year, the center's experts issued operational recommendations to neutralize the identified threats, helped to cope with attacks that affected many companies around the world. New services for clients have been formed on the basis of the center. Now, in addition to managing information security events (from monitoring and detecting computer incidents to assisting in response), Informzaschita offers its customers a cyber training service, in which customers can assess the ability of their systems and personnel to identify the actions of real attackers, as well as understand how well internal computer incident response processes work.

In the center of industrial security "Informzaschita" in 2017, the main achievements were the formation of a new service for the implementation of information security solutions at communication nodes of the open and mode segments of the network to ensure interaction and stability of services at enterprises of the military-industrial complex. The complex of services for ensuring information security of industrial systems, including PCS, was also expanded, taking into account the implementation of Federal Law No. 187.

The Fraud Prevention Center provides a full range of antifraud services, including complex projects with the study of fraud scenarios for the subsequent creation and effective implementation of anti-fraud systems. In 2017, the center expanded its portfolio of services due to interaction with new partners of anti-fraud solutions in such areas as session fraud detection and optical recognition of document fakes. Over the previous year, the staff of the center has grown more than 2 times, thanks to which the center's team has formed and offered its services to counter fraud to a new segment for itself - telecommunications and logistics companies. The average time for the implementation of antifrod projects of the middle-size level is less than six months, which is much lower (almost twice) than generally accepted time standards. This reduces project ROI () ROI and Risk Value (CoR) for customers.

In 2017, a new division of the company was created - a software development center, where a professional team was formed to ensure the full cycle of implementation of software products and custom development projects. A number of projects were initiated to create customized universal solutions and specialized services within the scope of custom development. In addition, since the end of 2017, active work has begun on the company's new own product in the information security sector.

A separate gift for employees, clients and partners was the relocation of Informzaschita to a new office, which is equipped with the most modern engineering systems and has a developed infrastructure. The new office has everything to make employees comfortable working and communicating with colleagues and partners: from spacious meeting rooms to a technical service laboratory and a demo zone with deployed technological stands.

Technology partnership with EveryTag

EveryTag, a Russian developer of enterprise content management software, and Informzaschita announced on August 30, 2017 that they had signed a technology partnership agreement. The company's cooperation is aimed primarily at developing projects in the field of development and implementation of special software in the field of enterprise content management and data protection systems.

Within the framework of technological cooperation, Informzaschita and EveryTag plan to carry out joint research work. The results obtained will be used both to create comprehensive information and analytical systems and to protect corporate databases of companies. This is expected to provide an opportunity to ensure the security of all types of internal confidential documents.

File:Aquote1.png
We believe that this cooperation is of strategic importance for both companies. Comprehensive protection of confidential documents is impossible if only digital media is protected - according to various estimates, from 20 to 30% of leaks occur "from the sheet." Therefore, we are confident that the development of "EveryTag" in the field of protection against leaks of paper copies of documents will be in demand in the solutions of our partners and in the corporate networks of our common customers, - commented on the event Sergey Tymoshenko, commercial director of "EveryTag."

In 2016, Informzaschita devoted to building competencies in the main areas of information security: analysis of the security of information systems and software, design and implementation of information security systems, monitoring, audit and consulting on information security issues in financial, industrial, state and other sectors of the economy.

Modern, increasing cyber calls (wannacry, carbanak, etc.) pose a real threat and require an absolutely new approach to protection. A high level of security will help provide the IZ SOC Incident Monitoring and Response Operations Center, which allows you to make a holistic bundle of processes, people and technologies aimed at detecting and responding to even advanced attacks. Providing the IZ SOC service, Informzaschita offers customers to take advantage of the high level of expertise of their own personnel, with already built processes, including vulnerability management, security event monitoring, incident response, cyber intelligence, asset management and much more.

The economic crisis is a serious test for the information security market: budgets are shrinking, the market is shrinking. But "Informzaschita" has something to do. She has a new project - "Electronic Budget" for the Federal Treasury, which should simplify the accounting and control of public funds.

"Only companies with a large amount of competencies can be entrusted with the implementation of such projects," comments Vyacheslav Brazhko, head of the Treasury's security and security regime.

In 2007, Informzaschita won a tender to install protection on 50,000 workstations and Treasury servers. Now it is necessary to protect the jobs of 1.5 million users of the "Electronic Budget" - federal, regional and municipal officials. The necessary political will is present here.[3]

2015

Revenue of RUB 5.249 billion (+ 28%)

The total revenue of the Informzaschita Group of Companies in 2015 amounted to p5.249 billion, which is 28% higher than the same figure in 2014. At the same time, the share of information security services, which are the core business of the system integrator, increased to 30%. Two-thirds were brought by the integrator business, about 20% - the sale of their own developments, the rest - training and certification centers.

Large customers from the public sector are still around.

"Over the past two years, in joint projects with Informzaschita, we have secured more than 1 million computers in the networks of our clients," says Yulia Sokolova, head of partner management at Kaspersky Lab.

Among these clients are Sberbank, VGTRK, Rosenergoatom.

When Crimea became part of Russia, Informzaschita specialists went to create regional fragments of the state automated system: they put crypto routers on communication channels and SecretNet on workstations. In 2015, the CEC spent 1.5 billion rubles on the work of State Automated System Vybory, of which 130 million - on Crimea. As they say, not in vain: in 2015, the system was hacked 35,000 times. "The defense worked in such a way that not a single hacker attack passed," says Gennady Raikov[3], chairman of the board of directors of the Federal Center for Informatization at the CEC[3].

According to company representatives, 2015 was extremely difficult in terms of the implementation of traditional hardware and software solutions. Currency volatility and complex external political factors affected sales volumes. But due to the same reasons, the focus has shifted towards the provision of services - compared to 2014, the volume of sales of this sector increased by almost 30%. "The crisis has charted a movement from 'paper' to real security. In conditions of limited budgets and the need to assess the effectiveness of their use, customers are seriously thinking about the practical goals of information protection, "the[4] said[5]%.

Also, one of the most noticeable trends in the information security market is the active development of outsourcing and a service-oriented model of service provision. The customer expects a comprehensive solution to the problem, which requires additional competencies from service providers, in particular, an understanding of the specifics of the business and IT expertise to create an infrastructure under security systems and their correct integration, noted in Informzaschita. To solve these problems, the company in 2015 significantly developed the Service Center, which has been operating for several years, within which customers receive information security services in the form of a set of services with clearly defined goals and criteria for evaluating efficiency.

The priority areas of the Informzaschita strategy for 2016 are: expanding the scope of the Service Center's activities both in terms of a set of services for outsourcing information security tasks and in terms of the geography of their provision; a significant increase in the volume of services for ensuring the safety of industrial systems; development of services and solutions aimed at combating external and internal fraud, not only in the financial sector, but also in retail, telecom, insurance companies, government organizations and in the sale of petroleum products and energy products; bringing a number of cloud security services to market.

Leonid Ukhlinov appointed executive director

In February 2015, Informzaschita announced the appointment in the management: Leonid Ukhlinov was appointed vice president - executive director of the company. Pyotr Efimov, who became the general director of Informzaschita at the end of 2014, continued to conduct strategic work, while Mr. Ukhlinov took over the operational department.

2014: Petr Efimov re-becomes CEO

At the end of 2014, Pyotr Efimov returned to operational management. "You dig in your garden more conscientiously than on a collective farm field," he figuratively explains the reason. Sherstobitov left and founded Angara, a player in the information security market. At the end of 2015, another key manager of Informzaschita, the former director of the training center, Mikhail Savelyev, moved to him.

2012

Revenue for the year 4.2 billion rubles (+ 20 %)

The revenue of the Informzaschita group of companies for 2012 exceeded the mark of 4 billion 225 million rubles, which corresponds to the annual growth of the business by 20%. It was possible to add almost 700 million rubles per year due to integration and consulting projects, as well as projects for support and comprehensive training of personnel.

The largest customers were the Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, Sberbank, Russian Railways and VimpelCom. Compared to 2011, the share of revenue provided by companies in the oil and gas industry has seriously increased (almost 4.5 times). The reduction in the share - about 20% - fell on state structures.

Big reform

After the appointment of Sergei Sherstobitov as the general director of Informzaschita, all the holding companies also completely changed their top management.

Anatoly Sharkov was appointed to replace the general director of Security Code Alexander Shirmanov.

Zoya Popova, who was the head of the Informzaschita training center, created together with Mikhail Emelyannikov her own consulting company Emelyannikov, Popova and Partners. At first, one of the shareholders and founders of Informzaschita, Dmitri Yershov, took her place, and in the spring of 2012, former Safeline CEO Mikhail Savelyev was appointed head of the training center. In his place, Oleg Bakshinsky, the former director of the headtechnology distributor, came to the distribution company of the holding, he specializes in products in the field of information security[6]

The most radical changes occurred in the company, TrustVerse which was acquired several years ago with the XP distribution development team Linux. The latter were transferred to the Security Code company, where they continue to work on improving hardware and software systems. And under the TrustVerse brand, the CUBE ("Security Management Complex") product was transferred, designed to manage user accounts and access control. The product already has several dozen implementations, and the company is preparing in 2013 to actively fight for the corresponding Russian market.

Nevertheless, both the integrator and the holding as a whole grew quite quickly, the turnover of the system integrator NIP Informzaschita increased by 40%, and the turnover of the holding as a whole - by 49%.

"All large and state-owned companies are already divided," said Sherstobitov. "Now we need to work more actively in the markets of medium and even small customers."

The company will have to type its services and offer them to a mass client. For this, both technologies and consumers themselves are ripe - you will no longer surprise them with rented services provided remotely via the Internet.

"The infrastructure of small banks is quite typifiable, and their needs for information security services with the adoption of the law" On the National Payment System "will only increase," said Lev Fisenko, director of the Informzaschita department for working with financial organizations. Therefore, the holding companies will develop a new set of telecommunications security services for small companies and banks.
In addition, existing customers are starting to use the capabilities of mobile devices - Informzaschita should offer them tools to ensure the security of corporate data. "We are moving in the footsteps of the development of information technology," Sherstobitov explained the situation. - All fashionable technologies, such as virtualization, web services, mobile devices, will soon need to be protected from new threats. We are ready to offer appropriate services. "

A change in banking legislation regarding the adoption of the FZ-161 "On the National Payment System" may also require an expansion of the range of services provided, since now companies connected to payment systems must also meet the security requirements imposed by the Central Bank. Although in general these requirements are similar to PCI DSS, nevertheless, it is possible to avoid certain work to check the information systems of banks and the financial applications they use for compliance with the new requirements of the Central Bank.

  • Informzaschita has passed the PCI Security Standards Council (Consul) control procedure. Thus, the company confirmed the high level of quality of the services provided to verify compliance with the PCI DSS standard and was able to provide them in the future. In addition to Informzaschita, 12 companies operate in Russia that can provide these services. During the audit, projects completed by Informzaschita were checked related to the compliance with the international PCI DSS security standard . The report states that the requirements for the procedure for conducting compliance checks, quality control and paperwork are fully fulfilled by the company. The Consul regularly monitors the quality of services of QSA companies (Qualified Security Assessor). As part of this procedure, several accredited companies are selected that provide all the information necessary for the verification.

2011

Revenue for the year 3.5 billion rubles (+ 49 %)

In absolute terms, the revenue of the Informzaschita group of companies in 2011 amounted to 3 billion 512 million rubles. This figure is 49% higher than last year (2 billion 350 million rubles). In 2011, the company completed more than 400 projects. Compared to 2010, this figure has more than doubled. Among all business areas of the Group, the leading pace demonstrated the amount of revenue from integration projects. Good dynamics were shown by their own development and production, which provided more than a quarter of the income.

The departure of Gaikovich

In the fall of 2011, the general director changed in the company - Vladimir Gaikovich moved to Andek, his post was taken by Sergey Sherstobitov.

"There are
two reasons for my departure: this is the accumulated fatigue from management and the presence of disagreements with shareholders on the development of the group of companies," he explained in an interview with CNews. "Gaykovich received an Executive MBA and tried to implement Western management practices," Alexey Lukatsky sets out his version. "It didn't appeal to all shareholders, who in the old fashioned way wanted everything to be concentrated in the same hands."

Andrei Golov, general director of Security Code, confirmed in 2016: "Gaykovich tried to" digitize "the business. Because of this, there was a long misunderstanding with Efimov. " Sergey Sherstobitov adds: Gaikovich, as a programmer, devoted a lot of time to development, and Efimov was focused on sales, and this was the strength of the company, but up to a certain point.

Pyotr Efimov assured that information about the conflict was greatly exaggerated - there was simply mutual fatigue and different views on business development. "Volodya believed that if a thing is brilliant, she sells herself. And we believe: no, not so, someone must tell why she is brilliant, "explains the entrepreneur.

After Gaikovich left Informzaschita, Pavel Karaulov, the founder of the Divizion mobile electronics retail chain, which broke up in 2010 due to debts and problems with franchisees, was appointed CEO. About Karaulov in "Informzaschita" they say that he was sent from "Lanit" for audit. But he worked only a few months.

"According to independent estimates, Informzaschita occupies more than 10% of the information security market in Russia," said Pyotr Efimov, President of the group of companies, in 2012. "Over the past years, we have taken a leading position in this segment, and our results are consistently ahead of the growth of the Russian information security market as a whole."

In 2011, Kommersant-Money magazine noted the indicators of Informzaschita, placing it in the top 30 companies providing IT services. Rating agency "Expert" traditionally included the GC in the list of the largest Russian companies in the field of information and communication technologies, determining the 31st position for it (plus four lines compared to 2010). Also, "Informzaschita" won two awards as part of the annual Security Awards.

2010: Revenue growth by 60% to RUB 2.35 bn

In 2010, the revenue of the group of companies increased by 60%, amounting to 2.35 billion rubles. According to the explanations of Vladimir Gaikovich, the main volume of sales of companies was "Informzaschita" in the segment of "large and largest clients: commercial companies and government agencies" and in all industry segments without exception: the public sector, oil and gas, power, banks and telecoms, industry.

Speaking about the structure of revenue, Gaikovich noted that the share of consulting almost doubled in its structure. The work on the audit of personal data protection and on the standards of information protection in payment cards (PCI DSS) contributed.

Distributor Safeline showed a 75% increase in revenue, and the Informzaschita Training Center - by 11%.

2009: Crisis, Revenue Cuts

At the end of 2009, the revenue of the group of companies decreased to 1.46 billion rubles.

2008

Formation of Informzaschita Group of Companies

In 2005-2008, several companies were allocated from Informzaschita: the development was concentrated in the Security Code, distribution in SafeLine, and the integration remained with NIP Informzaschita. In order not to overpay laboratories, they opened their own certification center. This is how the Informzaschita group of companies appeared.

"The time has come to change and differentiate the business," Petr Efimov assessed that restructuring in 2016.

In 2008, the company's revenue increased by 19.3% and amounted to more than 1.52 billion rubles.

The most significant revenue growth was shown by the National Attestation Center (NAC), whose revenue increased by 84%, and the Informzaschita Training Center, whose revenue increased by 63% compared to 2007. TC "Informzaschita" - the largest center for retraining and training of specialists in the field of information security in Russia - in 2008 celebrated its decade. In 2008, about 5,000 specialists of state and commercial companies were trained in their own and authorized courses.

A significant increase in revenue of 52% was shown by the distribution company SafeLine. The number of company partners increased by 16%.

The system integrator's revenue in the field of information security increased by 14% largely due to the expansion of the client base in key areas such as PCI DSS and the protection of limited access information, including personal data.

The leaders of growth in the types of activities of the group of companies were services - 23.7% and software development - 21%.

A commercial and technological partnership was created by OKB SAPR, involving joint new developments in the field of hardware and software.

The group's companies completed major projects with such customers as Russian Railways, Concern Rosenergoatom, Rostelecom, the Federal Treasury, and won a tender in Rospatent.

Vladimir Gaikovich talked about plans for 2009: "We want to grow in 2009 by at least 15-20 percent. To be sure, this is not dramatic growth, but I think it is acceptable in the face of existing uncertainty in the markets. The crisis will end sooner or later. And in order to be prepared for the next rise in the market, one must not forget about the reserves associated with optimizing the management of the company, and about the development of the company even now, in a recession of the economy. We plan to offer new services and new products to the market in 2009. The key task for the coming year is to create a new product line designed to control access, protect personal data, commercial and state secrets. We will focus on those segments of the information security market in which our competencies are undeniably stronger than those of competitors in order to offer our customers the best solutions. "

Trustverse Acquisition, SPO Project

Things were going so brilliantly that Informzaschita swung at an ambitious project - to transfer civil servants to the Linux operating system. The market size of such systems for authorities and medical institutions, recalled in 2016 Evgeny Sokolov, at that time the head of Linux Online, was estimated in the Ministry of Communications at at least $50 million. In 2008, Evgeny Sokolov and his partner Timofey Korolev met with Pyotr Efimov and Vladimir Gaikovich and agreed to create Trustverse. In fact, it was about buying the Sokolov and Korolev team of 30 people and their development, including the Linux XP distribution. New specialists were hired for this project, equipment was purchased.

The shareholders of Informzaschita did not disclose the costs. "It was not sky-high money," Yefimov answered succinctly in 2016. The developers have released and certified a package of Linux programs integrated with Informzaschita products. But the topic did not go, said in 2016 the former general director of Informzaschita Sergei Sherstobitov, - there was not enough political will at the state level. "The state demand for open solutions never appeared, and even Informzaschita failed to turn the tide," Sokolov adds.

Failure of decisions under the law on the protection of data

Another problem arose: despite the crisis, the company doubled its staff for the development of new products related to the 152-FZ "On the Protection of Personal Data." "This investment did not play. The adoption of the law was postponed, and a lot of money has already been invested in the products, "says a former employee of Informzaschita. According to him, there was a large cash gap, which had to be urgently closed. A strategic investor helped out . Peter Efimov, however, in 2016 stated that in the entire history of the company there were no situations associated with a lack of money.

2007: Creation of SafeLine

Within the framework of the Informzaschita group of companies, SafeLine has been created, which has become a specialized distributor for information security solutions. Mikhail Savelyev, who previously held the position of Director of the Development Department of the Regional Network of Informzaschita, has been appointed CEO of SafeLine.

The Group's total revenue in 2007 amounted to 1,279,283 thousand rubles (or $50 million), which is 25% more than in 2006 at 1,023,697 thousand rubles (according to CNews Analytics).

2006: Service Center Launch

As part of the company, the Service Center began work. Prompt and effective professional advice is provided 24 hours a day 7 days a week. A partnership agreement with British Standards Institution was signed, thanks to which in 2006 Informzaschita formed a full range of services according to the ISO 27001 standard. During 2006, our own product line was completely updated. Received 16 certificates for new versions of the company's products.</p>

2005: Turnover of $27.2 million

The company's turnover for the year was $27.2 million.

2004: Opening an office in Kazakhstan

The company has certified ISS products at the State Technical Commission, Russia having received 5 licenses for flagship solutions for detecting attacks and analyzing security. 3 new products have been released. The first foreign representative office of the company in the republic was opened. Kazakhstan The partner network was expanded: 12 new partners in 6 regions of Russia. Together with Cybertrust, Russian cryptographic algorithms were embedded PKI in an industrial-scale solution - Unicert. A new direction has been created - the National Certification Center. The company has the opportunity to provide a full range of services - from the creation of a secure automated system to its certification. The number of personnel is more than 200 people.

2003: Three FSB certificates

The company received: 2 FAPSI licenses, 4 certificates of the State Technical Commission of Russia, 3 FSB certificates. The Project Implementation Department was established to manage the company's large complex projects. In total, more than 4,000 specialists have been trained since the creation of the training center. The number of personnel is more than 160 people.

2002: Turnover growth of 200% to $15 million

The company received: 8 FAPSI licenses, one license of the State Technical Commission of Russia, one FAPSI certificate. The number of personnel is more than 140 people. The company's turnover in 2002 amounted to $15 million, which is 200% more than in 2001. More than 600 new companies from Russia and the CIS countries entrusted Informzaschita with the implementation of work to provide information security for their automated systems.

2000-2001

The first FAPSI certificates for the protection of state secrets

The company has created a project and solutions department. The first FAPSI certificates for purged companies designed to protect state secrets were obtained. The line of its own protection systems against unauthorized access has expanded, Secret Net which was confirmed by receiving 7 certificates from the State Technical Commission. Russia Secret Net NT 1.0 is certified. Ministry of Defense of the Russian federation The first version of the Continent-K IP encoder has also been certified. The PCI version of the EZ "" and the Secret Sable Net hardware support board with PCI bus support have been developed and went on sale.

The Informzaschita Training Center has developed and implemented more than 20 training courses, in which more than 800 specialists are trained. The number of personnel is 110 people.

Gaikovich replaces Efimov as CEO

The Informzaschita business went uphill, but income growth did not really please Vladimir Gaikovich, who in 2001 replaced Pyotr Efimov in the general director's chair (Efimov became president) - he believed that quick dividends hinder development.

1998-1999: Establishment of a training centre

The department of Internet solutions has been formed. The Informzaschita Training Center was created and equipped. The certificate of the State Technical Commission of Russia No. 195 (September 1998) for the system for analyzing the security of IP networks Internet Security Scanner version 5.2 was obtained - the first certified network security scanner in Russia.

By the beginning of the 2000s, Informzaschita had two more basic products. The electronic computer lock "Sobol" was developed according to the terms of reference of FAPSI and in subsequent years sold in a circulation of more than 1 million. Informzaschita was the first among commercial companies to receive six FAPSI licenses for creating means of protecting networks and encrypting data for state secrets and confidential information. Work has begun on the creation of the Continent-K and Continent-C cryptographic routers. The number of personnel is 70 people.

"SecretNet and Continent are trump aces of Informzaschita," said Digital Security CEO Ilya Medvedovsky in 2016. "State customers take these products, since they are correctly sharpened for them."

The strict requirements of the FSB and the State Technical Commission (later FSTEC) to protect confidential information and state secrets also extended to private companies.

According to Mikhail Savelyev, the presence of certified solutions at Informzaschita facilitated entry into commercial structures with state participation - Norilsk Nickel, Transneft, Aeroflot.

1996-1997: Distribution Agreement with Internet Security Systems

The company has formed new divisions: the Department of Software Development, the Analytical Department, the Information Security Department. Received 3 certificates of the State Technical Commission of Russia for new products of the company - protection systems for Windows NT and Windows 95 - the first certified solutions for these platforms in Russia. The distribution of Secret Net NT 1.0 and Secret Net 3.1 information protection tools (for Windows 95) has begun. An agreement was signed with the American company Internet Security Systems on the exclusive right to distribute ISS products in Russia and the CIS countries.

1995: Establishing a Company

The founders of the group Petr Efimov, Vladimir Gaikovich and Dmitri Yershov met at the Kyiv Higher Engineering Radio Engineering School of Air Defense. A few years later they met in Moscow, at the General Staff. Efimov built the first local networks here, and Gaikovich and Yershov worked in the laboratory of one of the regional military research institutes.

In 1995, Efimov quit and began selling English-Russian translators. PROMT Trade went sluggishly, and when Gaikovich offered him to earn money on the protection of information, he agreed without hesitation. Gaikovich already had some experience and capital. Together with a graduate of the KGB Higher School Evgeny Kaspersky , he successfully completed the order to integrate the antivirus into the office suite on the base. " MS-DOS We received solid money," Forbes Kaspersky confirmed in 2016.

Formally, the Informzaschita Scientific and Engineering Enterprise was formed in July 1995 by transforming the Informzaschita Information Security Association of the same name, which existed since 1990. 14 enterprises of various forms of ownership working in the field of information protection acted as founders of the Association.

In addition to Gaikovich, Efimov and Yershova co-founder of "Informzaschita" became Yury Sokolov. Little is known about him: he worked at the Kvant Research Institute, then moved to the Atlas Research and Development Center. It was Sokolov who agreed with the management of the NTC on the lease of the premises, on 100 square meters. m of which the company's management and 10 programmers are located. Gaikovich invited partners to enter the market with his development - a system for delimiting access in the form of a card installed in a computer. The security system was called SecretNet. For more than 20 years, it became the flagship product of Informzaschita.

In 1995, the Secret Net hardware and software information protection system was first presented at the Exchange and Banking Systems exhibition. The first mass delivery of the Secret Net system took place in 1995 and was intended to protect the State Automated System "Election." In the same year, Informzaschita received a license from the State Technical Commission of Russia No. 119 (dated November 9, 1995) for the development and supply of information protection equipment. The number of personnel in 1995 is 15 people.

The chairman of the board of a commercial bank happily rubbed his hands: "Can you protect us from VAT?!" Efimov had to disappoint a banker who confused VAT with NSD - unauthorized access.

"Few people in the 1990s understood what and how to defend themselves. I had to walk, convince, "Efimov recalled in 2016. As a result, SecretNet, according to him, was installed on almost all computers subject to protection in the CEC of the Russian Federation, the Central Bank, the Federal Treasury, and the Customs Service.

They took it with perseverance and business acumen, recalled in 2016 the former director of the Informzashchita Training Center Mikhail Savelyev. Plus, the connections worked. When the CEC was preparing the Vybory state automated system protection system, several developer companies were invited to the show. Efimov and Gaikovich were at the meeting thanks to their friend, who at that time headed the information resources department of the Russian presidential administration. Efimov claims that the CEC chose the working version of SecretNet and he and Gaikovich added the documentation to it overnight. But Savelyev retells an old corporate legend: when asked by the CEC about finalizing the proposed versions, everyone began to talk about prices and deadlines, and only Gaykovich brought SecretNet the next morning with the necessary functionality.

The first contract with the CEC brought Informzaschita $150,000. There were customers represented by the FSB. But with the money, the special services were tight then, and for almost three years the only major client of the company was the Central Bank. Efimov spent 260 days on flights - they put SecretNet in regional branches of the bank.

"He was the main miner of the company," recalled Alexei Lukatsky, the former head of Informzaschita 's Internet solutions department, in 2016. Sokolov was responsible for relations with government agencies, Gaikovich was engaged in development, and Yershov - first consulting, then the training department (over time, he turned into the largest information protection training center in Russia - about 3,000 students a year, not counting distance learning).
