2021: Inventive Retail Group bought Rumik
On August 9, 2021, Inventive Retail Group, part of Lanit Group of Companies, the main owner of which is Philip Gens, announced the purchase of Xiaomi, Russia's largest online seller of products. We are talking about the Rumikom online store, which previously belong to the Digmi Group. Its participants did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
Under the terms of the agreement, Inventive Retail Group receives from Rumikom a domain name (ru-mi.com), intellectual property rights, a commodity warehouse, a customer base and developed online store social publics. In addition, the Inventive Retail Group will withdraw four offline Xiaomi stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg, previously owned by the Digmi Group. Stores will be converted and included in the Xiaomi network, which is already being developed by the Inventive Retail Group. Thus, the Xiaomi chain of the group will grow to 17 stores.
According to the Inventive Retail Group, Rumik is considered the first specialized single-brand store for the sale of Xiaomi in the Russian market. Over the years, Rumik has become the largest single-brand seller of Xiaomi goods in the Russian-language segment of the Internet. The traffic of the store is about 1 million visitors per month, and the customer base is more than 400 thousand people. The acquisition of this online store will further increase the business of selling electronics within the Inventive Retail Group.
We are very pleased that such a successful project as Rumikom joins the Inventive Retail Group. The development of e-commerce is one of our strategic priorities. We are confident that this acquisition will allow us to continue our successful cooperation with the Xiaomi brand and increase the share of this vendor in our business, "said Alexei Shubin, vice president of consumer electronics sales at Inventive Retail Group.[1] |
