2022: Updating the Financial Information System

On March 23, 2022, the system integrator and developer Navicon announced that it had transferred the companies of the international group Bonava in St. Petersburg to the current version of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central financial system. Thanks to the migration, the developer will have access to a current and easily updated platform.

Bonava is one of the groups of companies in the field of housing construction in Northern Europe. The companies of the Bonava group in St. Petersburg for a long time used the financial system Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009. To better manage finances, procurement, and supplier relationships, the company's management decided to move to a more resilient Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform.

The migration was performed by the Navicon system integrator, which previously supported Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 for Bonava. During the project, IT company specialists transferred 15 modules with 163 functions to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and migrated data. The system is integrated with the CRM solution and Anaplan business planning software. So the companies of the Bonava group in St. Petersburg will be able to increase the transparency of operating management.

Thanks to the current approach to the development of Extensions 2.0, available in Microsoft Dynamics 365, and the use of the AL programming language, it was possible to keep the standard ERP functionality unchanged. This makes it easy to install future system updates.

And thanks to the fact that Microsoft Business Central is part of the Dynamics 365 ecosystem, business can at any time expand its capabilities at the expense of other vendor products. The ecosystem approach implies that it will not take much time and money to install and configure them, " said Sabrina Mironova, head of the St. Petersburg branch of Navicon.
