AXELOT has prepared a process design for Logico warehouse. Axelot announced this on November 17, 2023.

While working on the project for Logico, AXELOT specialists provided information on industry average performance indicators so that the company can rely on them during the assessment of the work of the new warehouse.

The Logico warehouse must meet all the requirements of the growing business and have a sufficient capacity in advance, in accordance with the forecast of the company's development until 2027. Logico applied to AXELOT for the development of the technological project of the warehouse site under construction. The companies have been working together to modernize Logico logistics for a long time, so the choice of the contractor for the new project was obvious.

It was important not only to design the optimal arrangement of process areas, but also to develop effective business processes. To do this, AXELOT specialists used data on technological processes provided by employees of the existing Logiko warehouse in Bishkek, taking them as a basis.

As a result of the data analysis, optimal storage systems for the warehouse were proposed - based on front and deep racks. The developed options for organizing the topology were compared using a dynamic model for calculating the size of cells and options for placing them in stock.

AXELOT specialists took into account the presence and location on the construction site of highways and railways, power lines, as well as features of adjacent areas, and based on the data obtained, they developed an architectural and construction concept of the warehouse.

Inside the site itself, several schemes of cargo acceptance zones were modeled: for heavy vehicles, railway transport with railway tracks and passenger vehicles. All necessary support facilities were also provided, including storage personnel facilities.

In addition to the main technological design of the warehouse for Logico, a set of balanced performance indicators was developed, rules for their calculation were given and average industry values ​ ​ were recorded, which the company will be able to focus on during the analysis and determination of its own quality. logistic business processes

AXELOT recommendations will allow Logico to build a functional room that fully meets the needs of the business.

Logico has adopted the warehouse design developed by AXELOT and plans to use it during the construction of a warehouse site on the territory allocated for development.

2022: Introduction of Axelot WMS X5 in a warehouse in Almaty

On March 30, 2022, Logico announced the introduction of WMS from AXELOT SOFT, which made it possible to track business processes in real time and organize an address storage system at a warehouse in Almaty.

The company has already collaborated with AXELOT SOFT as part of the automation of the warehouse in Bishkek on the basis of WMS from AXELOT SOFT of the previous generation. The level of service and capabilities for managing warehouse logistics have changed, which convinced Logico management not only to automate other warehouses, but also to use AXELOT WMS X5 for this. Logico again turned to AXELOT SOFT in order to jointly implement WMS in a warehouse in Almaty.

The Logico management wanted to accurately reproduce all processes from the warehouse in Bishkek at the warehouse in Almaty. Therefore, even before the start of the launch, the customer independently demonstrated to the personnel of the warehouse in Almaty how work is being carried out at the warehouse in Bishkek. By the beginning of the project, not only all operations were already "tested" in the field and proved their effectiveness. For example, if discrepancies were detected in the inspection, the system supported the correction process - additional selection of the missing goods from the cells or transfer of surplus to the original sampling cells. Thus, the leftovers in the warehouse were always relevant, and the staff was fully ready to work with WMS. The AXELOT SOFT project team had only to launch the WMS and train warehouse personnel to work with data collection terminals.

During the project, however, it was not without improvements that increased overall performance. For example, if the planned amount matches the actual amount in the collected goods control operation, a dialog box is displayed to complete the translation. The output of residues in basic units and the output of the picker to the packing list were added. The rest of the processes were organized in the same way as in the warehouse in Bishkek.

In addition to implementing WMS, the company has planned to update the previously implemented DATAREON MQ message queuing service to the full DATAREON ESB data bus in order to provide the ability to track business processes automated by several information systems in real time. "Upgrade" began from a warehouse in Bishkek. There, the AXELOT WMS X5, CIS, the old WMS and AXELOT TMS X4 entered the single loop of the enterprise. In Almaty, DATAREON MQ is still used, which combines AXELOT WMS X5 and CIS. The DATAREON tire update was almost imperceptible to warehouse employees through joint efforts, both from Logico and AXELOT SOFT.

The introduction of AXELOT WMS X5 allowed you to configure an address storage system in the warehouse. It became easier for the staff to navigate, thanks to which the number of selection errors decreased and the level of service increased due to an improvement in the quality of order assembly. And the integration of WMS into a single company contour provided warehouse management with the opportunity to receive up-to-date information about all business processes.
