2022: Cybersecurity Pilot
On April 6, 2022, Softline announced that it had piloted a system for detecting and preventing business attacks on web applications created on the basis of PT Application Firewall (PT AF) for Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin.
In the structure of the university's website there are personal offices of users where confidential information is stored, in particular, personal data of applicants. This information is extremely sensitive, and therefore the university decided to strengthen the protection of this data.
For the pilot project, a system was selected to detect and prevent business attacks on web applications from the company. During Positive Technologies the testing, specialists identified regular attacks at the application level. Such attacks are carried out by external malefactors ones both automatically and manually. The total number of identified threats for time piloting the system amounted to more than 40 thousand. Softline and Positive Technologies engineers gave detailed recommendations IT to university staff: how to counteract attacks and avoid the consequences of vulnerability, with the infrastructures help of which PT AF capabilities can achieve the necessary result and a sufficient level. cyber security
