2022: Digitization of documents on the history of the Samara region

On April 6, 2022, ELAR announced that the ElarSKAN A2-400 planetary scanning complex was delivered to the Central State Archive of the Samara Region, on which especially valuable documents about the history of the Samara Region are digitized.

The Central State Archive of the Samara Region is a large repository of historical documents covering the period from the end of the 17th century to the present day. It dates back to July 1, 1941, when the State Archive of the Kuibyshev Region was created by merging three previously existing archives - the Historical, October Revolution and the Military. The documents of the Central State Archive of the Samara Region reflect the political, socio-economic and cultural development of the province from the moment of its formation in 1851 to the present day. The archive funds contain rich factual material on the creation and functioning of provincial, Soviet and current authorities, factory industry, the life and activities of famous Samara residents.
