2022: Installation of AORL-1AM radar for high flight intensity monitoring

Roselectronika Holding of Rostec State Corporation announced on April 15, 2022 that it had installed current radar equipment at Izhevsk Airport. The updated locator allows you to effectively detect aircraft and obtain all the necessary data for tracking and landing aircraft at high flight intensity.

The AORL-1AM radar is capable of detecting civil aviation aircraft of all types at a distance of up to 360 km. Parabolic antenna allows operation simultaneously on two channels - on primary channel intended for detection of aircraft, and on secondary channel, which is used to obtain additional information, such as aircraft number, flight altitude, fuel reserve.

The modernization of the navigation equipment of the Izhevsk airport was primarily associated with an increase in its capacity. The characteristics of the radar fully comply with the standards of the international civil aviation organization and make it possible to significantly increase the share of flights made between regions directly, bypassing the Moscow aviation hub, said Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec State Corporation
