The general alphabetical catalog reflects domestic and foreign publications in all branches of knowledge that are stored in funds, "said Stanislav Valerievich Reuf, head of the Department of Scientific Processing of Literature (ONOL). - This is more than 17 million catalogue cards, on which you can establish the presence of a publication on the shelves of the library, knowing its name and the name of the author. Employees of several departments of the library scan cards, now with the help of high-speed ELAR scanners, in order of their arrangement, in other words, alphabetically. Digitized arrays are published in the Image Catalog on the BAN website. "

Image Catalog is replenished with records as catalog boxes are scanned, it is assumed that large-scale digitization work will take several more years.
