2022: Plan of AWP transfer to domestic software

On May 4, 2022, it became known that the Federal Treasury ordered work on testing automated workplaces (AWS) on the domestic operating system. For these purposes, the department allocated 150 million rubles.

The tender for the work was published on April 29, 2022 in the format of an open competition. Applications for it are accepted until May 18. The results will be announced on May 23.

We plan to participate in the pilot project of the Treasury, - told CNews in the Astra group. - Astra Linux, along with other domestic operating systems, will be tested in the department.

The pilot project also tests another Alt OS of the Russian company BASEALT.

According to the terms of reference, work on testing the AWS on the Russian OS will be carried out in two stages. At the first stage, the contractor will draw up a terms of reference in which the methodology for choosing the Russian OS and software, the testing program, etc. should be spelled out.

The second stage includes directly work on testing the AWS on Russian solutions. The work must be completed within 252 days from the date of signing the contract (at the beginning of 2023). The domestic OS should include a set of system and software.

Employees' AWS at the beginning of May 2022, according to the terms of reference, operate on Windows^[1].
