Biography

He graduated from Tula State Pedagogical University with a degree in Social Pedagogy and the Law Academy of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation with a degree in Jurisprudence. He has an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development.

He held a number of leadership positions in the Pyaterochka trading network.

2022: Director of Small Formats "Ribbon"

On May 5, 2022, Lenta announced changes in the leadership and organizational structure.

The Company creates an additional division - the Directorate of Small Formats. The responsibility of the Directorate for Small Formats will include the implementation of the Ribbon strategy for expansion into small formats, management of small format stores (MMF), the operational development of MMF, increasing their operational efficiency and ensuring the fulfillment of planned indicators.

The company announced the appointment of Emil Bagirov to the position of Director for Small Formats. Emil took office on May 5, 2022 and will report directly to the General Director of Lenta Vladimir Sorokin.
