Biography

He graduated from Tula State Pedagogical University with a degree in Social Pedagogy and the Law Academy of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation with a degree in Jurisprudence. Holds an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development.

He held a number of leading positions in the Pyaterochka retail chain.

2022: Lenta Small Format Director

On May 5, 2022, Lenta announced changes in its management and organizational structure.

The Company creates an additional division - the Small Format Directorate. The Small Format Directorate will be responsible for implementing Lenta's small format expansion strategy, managing small format stores (MMFs), operational development of MMFs, improving their operational efficiency and ensuring that targets are met.

The company announced the appointment of Emil Bagirov to the position of Director for Small Formats. Emil took office on May 5, 2022 and will report directly to Lenta CEO Vladimir Sorokin.
