2022: Introduction of Axelot TMS X4

On June 6, 2022, AXELOT announced the introduction of AXELOT TMS X4 in the Galamart network.

According to the company, the TMS system allowed Galamart to abandon the "paper," minimize the likelihood of errors due to the human factor and lay the foundation for the development of the direction - the courier delivery service.

The rapid pace of distribution development has shown that without well-built business processes, the company's logistics management becomes ineffective, which can affect the development of the business as a whole. The management team of the company decided to improve the level of service and automate transport logistics processes using AXELOT TMS X4.

The purpose of automation was to move from the "self-written" planning module built into "1C: Trade Management" and Excel to the AXELOT TMS X4 software solution. This, in turn, was supposed to reduce the impact of the human factor and reduce the burden on the specialists of the logistics department, who were forced to keep all documents and reports manually.

For example, before the introduction of AXELOT TMS Kh4, delivery department employees received a printed form of the route sheet, which displayed a list of customer addresses, the cargo to be delivered and the procedure for bypassing points. Often, up-to-date information about the recipient's location and contacts was kept in writing by drivers who worked in the same directions for many years. It was possible to track the location of the transport before automation only using a telemetry service, the functionality of which did not allow you to see the full picture, and all information in your own fleet was stored, reduced and analyzed using Excel.

The introduction of AXELOT TMS Kh4 made it possible to get away from "pieces of paper": now drivers receive information on routes using a mobile client, in which a flight has already been planned with an optimal detour of points and taking into account many parameters, for example, time windows of the client's work, bodies of vehicles, passes to enter zones, etc. This allows you to reduce transport mileage and fuel consumption, and the option to scan QR codes eliminates the possibility of erroneous loading of inappropriate goods.

Automation has made it possible to maintain reports on a daily basis. Now they enter accurate information on mileage, fuel consumption from waybills, which allows you to analyze always up-to-date information on the use of your own vehicles. In addition, the system controls the validity of vehicle and driver documents, which allows you to track and notify responsible employees of the end of the validity period.

After the implementation of the software solution, transport tracking is automatically carried out in TMS based on data received from the mobile client. The solution allows you to see not only the location of the vehicle, but also the process of performing the flight: how many points have been passed, how many are left, incidents and problems at customer points. When an arbitrary change of the route by the driver, the logist is notified and clarifies the reason for the change.

The transition to a mobile application for drivers also made it possible to open up opportunities for the start and subsequent development of the direction of courier delivery. All couriers are equipped with a mobile application and online terminals LifePay, and Evotor for non-cash payment. The mobile client ensures the transfer of actual data on the amount of payment to online terminals and automatic closure of tasks after confirmation of payment from the bank.

Working through a mobile application made it possible to automate the approach to interaction with the driver, to exclude the human factor when entering the collection amount on online terminals.

The functionality of the implemented system made it possible to take into account direct logistics costs. According to the configured rules, the system automatically calculates planned costs for flights on a daily basis. As a result, TMS allows you to generate different analytical reports, analyze and make management decisions.

Summing up, the management of Galamart noted that within the framework of the AXELOT TMS X4 implementation project, a number of tasks were solved to automate the management of the company's transportation. In particular:

  • AXELOT TMS is built into the company's complex IT landscape and directly interacts with five information systems for various business areas;
  • Automatic construction of optimal routes is implemented;
  • Delivery is carried out on time;
  • Delivery control is carried out in real time;
  • Operational performance of flights with the help of a mobile client for drivers;
  • Retail sales on the flight using seamless integration with Evotor and LifePay smart terminals;
  • From scratch, a process has been built to account for its own fleet in all its aspects: fuel and lubricants refueling/drains, mileage accounting, etc.;
  • The calculation of the motivational part of hired carriers was automated, as a result, the load on logicians was reduced;
  • Solved the problem of calculating the cost of delivery.
