2022: Introduction of Axelot WMS X5 at a warehouse in Noginsk

COTTON CLUB has completed the AXELOT WMS X5 implementation project at a warehouse in Noginsk. Automation has reduced the impact of the human factor on business processes and increased the accuracy and speed of warehouse operations. This was announced by AXELOT on September 21, 2022.

COTTON CLUB product quality is supported by vertically integrated production. Total control of each stage of the manufacturing process allows the company to quickly respond to market changes and track the entire product path. An important link in this chain is the warehouse processing of goods, which should be as transparent and controlled as possible.

The management of COTTON CLUB decided to automate the management of the warehouse of finished products and raw materials in Noginsk. The warehouse area is 30,000 sq. m., the assortment is 5,000 SKU, the warehouse works around the clock, more than 60 people are employed in each shift. The company uses warehouse staff outsourcing, so the introduction of WMS, among other things, was supposed to allow them to monitor their work, reduce dependence on the human factor and speed up the adaptation of new employees.

From the very first day of work in the system, all operations were tied to specific performers. This allows you to standardize the execution of warehouse operations and carry out a regular plan of actual analysis to assess the performance of employees, as well as identify responsible persons in the event of emergency situations.

Work with employee cards and their personal data is carried out directly in WMS. In order for hired personnel to flow into the workflow faster, the basic principles of work in the warehouse management system are included in the work instructions.

DATAREON ESB data service bus helped to ensure reliable data exchange between WMS and CIS. With its help, an integration circuit of the enterprise was built. To avoid downtime and maintain the volume of shipments, WMS was run on all warehouse processes, but on a limited range of stored products.

During the project, AXELOT consultants trained key users in the system, several people from each shift. After successfully passing the certification, they took on the task of training the rest of the employees. Thus, it was possible to organize parallel training of several groups of employees at once, which made it possible to minimize the time between the start of training of the first employees and the direct launch of the system. As a result of the work carried out by AXELOT specialists on warehouse automation, significant results were obtained:

  • End-to-end shelf life control has been launched;
  • fully paperless accounting has been introduced;
  • significantly increased speed and accuracy of warehouse operations;
  • the quality of acceptance has increased, layout planning is carried out on the basis of algorithms configured in the system;
  • minimized errors and dependence on the human factor;
  • the quality of selection for orders has increased, including due to the control of the selected goods.

The management of COTTON CLUB now has convenient and up-to-date tools for managing warehouse logistics and owns all the necessary data to monitor the work of the warehouse and personnel.
