The national planetary scanner ElarScan A2-600R has been delivered to the State Archive of the Novosibirsk Region. The most valuable and demanded documents of the Archive Fund of the Novosibirsk Region will be digitized on professional equipment. Elar announced this on July 4, 2023.

At the ElarSkan A2-600R planetary scanning complex, which is designed for contactless digitization of books, magazines, newspapers, photographs and other documents in the pre-A2 + format, electronic copies will be created for documents for Heroes of the Soviet Union - Novosibirsk residents from the P-5a fund "Party Archive of the Novosibirsk Regional Committee of the CPSU and its collection," says Vitaly Anatolyevich Burenkov, head of the department of automated archival technologies of the State Archive of the Novosibirsk Region.

High-quality digital copies of archival documents allow you to provide remote access to information to researchers from different cities and countries through the Internet portal "Multimedia Archive of the Novosibirsk Region." The portal contains documents of the funds "Collection of metric books of cult institutions," "Collection of books of the registry office of the NSO," "Collection of cartographic documents," documents of the heroes of the Soviet Union of the NSO, evacuated to the Novosibirsk region during the Great Patriotic War, awarded in the Novosibirsk region, including during the Great Patriotic War.

2022: Digitizing archive documents on planetary scanners

The State Archive of the Novosibirsk Region is conducting digitization work on two planetary scanners - ElarSkan A1-600KS and ElarSkan A2-600R. The most valuable and significant documents of the Archive Fund of the Novosibirsk Region, including large-format cartographic materials, will be digitized on domestic professional equipment. This was announced by ELAR Corporation on June 16, 2022.

For 2022, the State Archive of the Novosibirsk Region is faced with the task of digitizing 1,500,000 scan images according to the documents of the Archive Fund of the Novosibirsk Region stored in the GKU NSO GANO. Some of them will be digitized on domestic scanners.

It includes, among other things, geographical maps The European and (The Asian Russia 1884-1921), Eastern and Western Siberia (1902-1920), plans (Novosibirsk 1919-1935 Omsk), with environs (1917 mining), maps of Asian Russia (1903), a map gold of the mines of Tomsk the mining district (c. XIX century - early. XX century), land and resettlement maps of the western regions of Asian Russia (c. 1911), the district Altai of His Imperial Majesty's department indicating volosts and forest cottages (1911), maps-schemes of military operations of partisan detachments (no earlier than 1920), etc.,}}

The ElarScan A2-600R scanner, in turn, will serve for careful and high-quality digitization of the foundation's documents R-2189 "Collection of books of civil status records in the Novosibirsk Region, 1920-1925" - they contain records of birth, marriage, divorce and death.
