Thanks to Axelot WMS X5, the place in the Folium TTC warehouse began to be used more rationally

2022: Automation of the warehouse complex

On July 1, 2022, Axelot announced that Techno-Shopping Center Folium LLC had introduced the Axelot WMS X5 system in the warehouse.

TTC "Folium" unites a group of enterprises operating in the field of commercial real estate, sale and maintenance of household appliances and electronics. The company was founded in 1998 and in July 2022 owns several shopping centers in Lipetsk, including the super-regional shopping center Riviera. The company also owns its own warehouse of household appliances and electronics, which provides the product with points of sale and stores defective products until decommissioning. The warehouse complex is located in Lipetsk, its area is 5000 sq.m., the number of active nomenclature items reaches 5000.

In order to increase the level of control of balances, reduce dependence on personnel and increase the speed of assembly of orders, the management of TTC "Folium" decided to automate the operation of the warehouse complex. The automation project was carried out in cooperation with Axelot, its result was the implementation of the Axelot WMS X5 system at the Folium TTC warehouse.

The warehouse stores products of various brands, each of which requires a separate approach in the organization of accounting in the warehouse. So, for example, serial number accounting is used only for brand goods, and for Samsung expensive goods separate accounting models are implemented, with storage in areas of increased control and additional checks during acceptance and shipment.

It was possible to reduce dependence on personnel by reducing the participation of warehouse employees in decisions regarding the placement or selection of goods - this is done by configured and debugged WMS X5 algorithms. In addition, a mechanism was implemented for additional control of collected pallets before shipment - the composition of the shipped pallet is displayed to the employee at the shipping documentation, which allows you to check the correctness of your actions before the final write-off of goods from the warehouse balances on order.

The exchange between the corporate system and the WMSx5 was implemented through the DATAREON ESB integration software.

Thanks to the Axelot WMS X5, full address storage was restored in the warehouse, which was not used before the system began operation due to numerous accumulated problems with balances in the warehouse. However, address storage was not only restored, it also served as an impetus for speeding up all operations in the warehouse, since there was no need to spend precious time looking for goods.

The operation of the facility is automated and controlled in real time. Each emergency situation will immediately be recorded by the warehouse employee in the system, which, in turn, will respond accordingly to the problem to resolve it as soon as possible. At the same time, the solution of the problem will be separately dealt with by a competent warehouse employee, which will allow the performer who discovered the problem not to wait for its solution, but to continue working.
