2022: BQ 6868L Wide

On July 13, 2022, it became known that BQ had released the 6868L Wide smartphone. The device runs on Android 11.

As reported, in the basic configuration BQ 6868L Wide costs 8,000 rubles, having paid which, the buyer will receive a smartphone with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. If you pay another 500 rubles, you can purchase the 6868L Wide version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM. Smartphone production is implemented in China.

The configuration of the smartphone differs only in the amount of memory. Each of them is available in four body colors (blue, black, red and gray), while the body itself is made of plastic and has a removable back cover. In 6868L Wide, such a cover is needed to access the battery, which is removable in this model. This standard option can be useful, for example, when there is a need to exclude any use of a smartphone, including as an alarm clock.

BQ 6868L Wide got a 6.8-inch screen. It is characterized by HD + or 1600x720 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20:9, as well as an IPS matrix and a rather impressive lower frame, without which the smartphone could be more compact. And so, its length is 170 mm.

The Tiger processor T310 Unisoc, formerly called Spreadtrum, is responsible for the operation of the smartphone. This CPU is three years old - it was released in 2019 and is still being released about a 12nm process technology.

The exact same BQ processor was used in the 5765L Clever smartphone of the beginning of February 2022, which at the time of release cost 7,000 rubles. and by July 13, 2022 retained the original price.

Tiger T310 consists of two clusters of computing cores. The first contains the only productive Cortex A75 core clocked at up to 2 GHz, and the second contains three more energy efficient Cortex A53 cores (up to 1.8 GHz).

The smartphone's electronics are powered by a 4000 mAh battery. The manufacturer does not specify the battery life of the BQ 6868L Wide. The battery charging time is also not set. The smartphone does not have USB-C - only microUSB with support for 5-watt charging (5V, 1A) is available, which does not allow charging it quickly enough.

According to the developers, BQ 6868L Wide has a set of four cameras, but reveals details about only two of them. In front, in the cutout in the screen, there is an 8 MP selfie module with a fixed focus, while the rear sensor shoots at a resolution of 13 MP and has autofocus. The main sensor is Samsung S5K3M2 with an f/2.0 aperture, five lenses in optics, and a focal length of 3.75mm. The front module is based on the Sony IMX219 sensor (f/2.0, four lenses, focal length 4.22mm).

The list of BQ 6868L Wide features contains OS Android 11. Also in the list there is a mention the American navigation of system support, GPS but there is not a word about Russian, GLONASS although there is a corresponding module in the Tiger 310 central processor. According to the developers, the smartphone has a clean Android 11 OS, without additional shells and applications. The OS will receive critical facilities "during the entire service life." Also, in their words, there is a possibility of switching to Android 12, "as soon as Google lifts the sanctions."

BQ 6868L Wide is equipped with a slot for microSD cards up to 128 GB, scanner fingerprints on the back panel, a separate input for wired earphones and support for cellular networks. LTE There are modules 5.0 Bluetooth and (Wi-Fi 802.11n Wi-Fi 4). The thickness of the smartphone body is 11 mm, the weight along with the battery is 215 grams[1]
