2022: Presentation of the ultrasound complex

On August 15, 2022, Rostec State Corporation and the Federal Biomedical Agency of Russia (FMBA) presented an experimental sample of a robotic ultrasound complex for remote examination of patients, as well as a prototype of a HIFU therapy complex for the treatment of oncology and stopping severe internal bleeding.

An ultrasound scanner for remote examination was created using augmented reality technology and is a rack equipped with a diagnostic sensor and a robotic "hand." The compact size and light weight allow you to quickly deliver the device to the patient even in hard-to-reach areas. The operator has the ability to connect at a distance via a communication channel and, using augmented reality glasses, conduct an examination, detect hidden injuries, fractures or internal bleeding, and determine the location of foreign bodies in the wound. The development will help in surveying residents of remote areas. It can also be indispensable for field hospitals in military operations.

Rostec has long collaborated with FMBA, Russia interaction has always taken place in various directions - from medical instrument making to immunobiology and the creation of high-tech medical centers. We are pleased to present a number of exhibits that FMBA has developed and created together with Rostec. For example, ultrasound for remote research population in hard-to-reach areas allows you to quickly identify such hidden injuries and injuries as internal bleeding, bone fractures, conduct ultrasound diagnostics of closed injuries to the abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space, - said the head of the FMBA of Russia.
