Otkritie Bank on September 8, 2022 announced the implementation of payment by QR code through the Fast Payment System (FPS) at POS terminals. The service allows customers to quickly make payments using any smartphone, and entrepreneurs to save on acquiring maintenance .

The buyer just needs to consider the QR code on the terminal as a smartphone and confirm payment in the mobile application. The QR code is generated automatically during the operation.

It is very easy for entrepreneurs to connect payment using a QR code on POS terminals. Enterprises that already use the acquiring of Otkritie Bank can do this in the office or through remote services in just a few minutes. The bank itself will update the device for working with QR codes. When acquiring is connected to new customers, the bank, together with the installation of the terminal, will activate settlements on the SBP.

Payments using QR codes through the SBP are becoming more and more popular with the population. In the first half of 2022, the share of payment using QR codes in the SBP in daily purchases of goods and services by Otkritie Bank customers increased 2.5 times.
