Free flow in operation and construction is cheaper than the toll barrier system by about 15-20% on various road sections. It provides motorists with the ability to pay for the service at flow speed, without slowing down traffic to travel through barriers. In the future, we plan to use, scale this decision as a successful, economically justified way of collecting fees, - said Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

The system allows, when passing through a frame with sensors, cameras, to determine the dimensions of the car, recognize the state registration numbers of vehicles, and read information from the transponder. Over the entire length of the road, 19 frames of the "Free Flow" M-12 designed, backup frames are provided. This will ensure stable and continuous operation of the system. If we talk about the Central Ring Road, then since the opening of the first paid section on this road, more than 103 million car passages have been recorded through the framework of the Free Stream, "said Vyacheslav Petushenko, chairman of the board of the Avtodor State Company.

The system on the M-12 is slightly different from the one that works on the Central Ring Road. One of the elements was the installation of an additional container in the roadside. It is provided with a continuous power supply system, which, even in the event of a power outage, will continue to record information from the equipment on the frame for subsequent transmission to the central system. As for the components of the framework, additional cameras were added to recognize vehicles, "said Victoria Erkenova, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Intelligent Transport Systems and Digitalization of the State Company.

The transition to a barrier-free type of charging is a global trend. More than 40% of toll roads in the world have already switched to Free Stream. 100% of the software of the Free Stream system is developed by the Telematics concern: the central system, the transaction formation platform, as well as the software of all peripheral equipment installed on the road limits. In addition, recognition will be carried out by our certified photo-video recording complex, - said Marcel Nigmetzyanov, General Director of the Unified Operator (part of the Telematics concern).

The use of the Free Stream technology on toll roads contributes to improving the environmental situation due to the lack of waiting at payment points, increases the throughput of roads, and reduces the travel time for drivers.
