2024: Appointment as Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation

In mid-May 2024, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved the distribution of duties between his deputies in the updated government. For Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, issues of state housing policy and civil turnover of real estate, as well as mortgage lending in this area, are assigned. In particular, he will coordinate the construction of communication infrastructure in cities and along roads.

Khusnullin will also be responsible for projects using the unified digital cartographic framework of the Russian Federation and the implementation of a comprehensive plan for the development of transport, energy, telecommunications, social and other infrastructure for the period up to 2036, necessary to achieve national goals.

Also, the Deputy Prime Minister will be responsible for construction, architecture and urban planning, land relations, state cadastral accounting of real estate objects, state registration of rights to real estate and transactions with it, housing and communal services, geodesy, cartography and spatial data, assignment of names to geographical objects.

In addition, the list of directions supervised by Marat Khusnullin also includes the construction, maintenance, reconstruction and repair of roads, issues of road activities and road safety, the development of public transport.

He is also assigned to the projects "Housing and Urban Environment," "Safe and High-Quality Roads," "Ecology," "Clean Water," "Rehabilitation of the Volga." It will control the provision of socio-economic development of Crimea, Sevastopol, and new regions.
