Ministry of Housing Policy and power of the Irkutsk Region

The Ministry of Housing Policy and power of the Irkutsk Region is the executive body of state power of the Irkutsk Region, carrying out the functions of ensuring the implementation of state policy in the housing and communal sphere in the Irkutsk region, including in the field of overhaul of apartment buildings located in the Irkutsk region, creating a comfortable urban environment, in the field of energy saving and increasing energy efficiency, gas supply, heat supply, water supply and sewerage, to ensure the prevention of situations that may lead to a violation of the functioning of life support systems for the population of the Irkutsk region, and elimination of their consequences, communication and navigation activities on the territory of the Irkutsk region, legal regulation in these areas of activity, as well as the provision of public services on issues, provided for by the Regulation on the Ministry of Housing Policy and power of the Irkutsk Region.

History

2022: Devolution of authority in municipal solid waste management

From July 1, 2022, the powers previously exercised by the Ministry of Housing Policy and power of the Irkutsk Region in the field of solid municipal waste management were transferred to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Irkutsk Region in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Irkutsk Region of February 3, 2022 No. 54-pp "On Amendments to Certain Resolutions of the Government of the Irkutsk Region."

2021: Renaming

By the Decree of the Government of the Irkutsk Region of March 1, 2021 No. 123-pp^[1], the Ministry of Housing Policy, power and Transport of the Irkutsk Region was renamed the Ministry of Housing Policy and power of the Irkutsk Region.
