2022: Opening of a cyber police based on the solutions of InfoTeCS Group of Companies

At the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUSI) at the Department of Information Security of the Faculty of Cybernetics and Information Security, a cyber polygon was opened based on products and solutions for protecting information from the InfoTeCS group of companies. This was announced by the company InfoTeCS October 04, 2022.

Thanks to the training complexes developed by experts of the InfoTeCS group of companies, which are equipped with a cyber polygon, MTUSI students get the opportunity to undergo practical-oriented training in conditions as close as possible to real ones, using current domestic equipment. The students will have access to the ViPNet educational and methodological complex "Network Protection," a special training complex based on the ViPNet QSS quantum cryptographic key generation and distribution system, as well as the Ampire cyber polygone (developed by Perspective Monitoring, part of InfoTeCS Group of Companies).

ViPNet information protection products and solutions are widely used to protect information in the infrastructure of government bodies and large enterprises of various industry economies of the Russian Federation, including at critical information infrastructure (CII) facilities. Specialists in the design and operation of secure information systems using ViPNet information protection tools are always in demand in the labor market. With the help of ViPNet educational and methodological complexes, MTUSI students will study the basics of building virtual private VPN networks and the principles of operation of the main means of cryptographic information protection (CIPF).

On the basis of the university subordinate to the Ministry of Digital Science of Russia, students receive valuable practical experience - knowledge of attack and protection technologies, the use of information protection tools and other tools in the field of information security. The professional composition of the Department of Information Security of the Faculty of Cybernetics and Information Security of MTUSI helps participants in cyber training to develop teamwork skills, the ability to interact with other members of the incident monitoring and response group, as well as time management skills.
said Director of the Department for the Development of Telecommunications Services , Anton Privedentsev.

The project is a cyberpolygon with the ability to analyze attacks on quantum key distribution systems. It is intended for practical-oriented training of students: practicing skills in countering cyber attacks, conducting research in the field of classical and quantum cryptographic protection, testing real vulnerabilities and information security events, including quantum attacks. The features of the site are: distributed architecture - the North Caucasus and Volga-Vyatka branches, the Institute for Advanced Studies, the College of Telecommunications and the main building of the university are connected to the cyber police - the possibility of practical training in full-time and remote format at all levels of education (bachelor's, specialty, master's degree, SPO, DPO),
explained Sergey Erokhin, rector of MTUSI.
