2022: Start of deliveries

In mid-October 2022, deliveries of the first device in Russia with the functions of artificial ventilation of the lungs, anesthesia and monitoring of the respiratory mixture began. We are talking about the MAIA-01 system developed by the Schwabe holding.

According to the developers, the advantages of MAIA-01 are in the presence of a dual-controlled forced ventilation regime, which allows you to simultaneously regulate the pressure and volume of the mixture delivered to the patient. This method provides greater safety in comparison with traditional IVL regimens.

Due to the use of modern digital sensors with built-in correction for gas composition, temperature and humidity of the respiratory mixture, the devices produce a dosage of anesthesia with maximum accuracy. In addition, MAIA-01 are equipped with the function of invasive blood pressure measurement and monitoring the depth of anesthesia. This will allow the anesthesiologist to monitor in real time the level of analgesia (pain sensitivity) and sedation (drug sleep) of the patient to adjust the dose of anesthetics.

As the executive director of Rostec Oleg Yevtushenko noted, since 2016, about 400 devices of safe anesthesia and respiratory therapy have been delivered to Russian hospitals. MAIA-01 According to experts, these devices are convenient to use and highly efficient. In line with growing demand, we are increasing supply volumes. In particular, a new batch of anesthesiological complexes went to Bashkortostan, he said.

By October 2022, various Shvabe anesthesia and respiratory complexes are used by medical institutions in the Orenburg, Bryansk, Pskov, Arkhangelsk, Leningrad, Tambov, Penza regions, clinics in Dagestan, the Republic of Karelia, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), as well as a number of other Russian regions.
