2022: Digitization of the document flow process

The transport company Delko has digitized the document management process related to the transportation of goods. This became known on October 14, 2022. The company is developing the digital platform Cargo.Run, launched a year ago. The IT solution is aimed at optimizing the transportation of goods and reducing the delivery time of goods for customers.

The platform project is associated with increasing the transparency of document management, in particular, the movement of securities that customers ask them to return. Now each document within the flight is assigned a unique QR code. The driver does not hand over the papers to the dispatcher, but leaves them in one of the checkpoints in the direction of travel.

The codes allow drivers to "submit" documents through the application, and managers to track their location. At the same time, the driver himself does not spend time checking documents and transferring documents in the office. Taking into account the fact that Delko has partners in all federal districts, a large-scale project allows you to significantly reduce the time of document management.

Delko became the first among transport companies in Russia to launch this format of working with documents from drivers.

In general, the company is developing automation of the processes of work of drivers and the logistics department using the digital platform Cargo.Run. It brought together freight forwarding drivers, sales managers and transportation control center operators. The system informs about the delay of the vehicle that got on the flight, deviation from the route, G-load along the axis, about malfunctions in the operation of refrigeration and heating equipment, fuel level.

The mobile application contains information about the flight: geodots, contact persons, accompanying documents. With the help of the program, drivers enter information about the additional work done and keep in touch with other employees involved in the transportation of goods.

The project made it possible to increase the accuracy of controlling the movement of cars, reduce the time for loading and unloading cars, and reduce the interval between applications.

In 2023, the transport industry plans to begin switching to electronic waybills. This will fully digitize the documentation for drivers[1].
