2024: Using the Directum platform for document recognition of government agencies and customers
Rosbank uses Directum intelligent services to recognize documents from government agencies and customers. The bank announced this on June 27, 2024.
Since 2020, the bank has been using the Lavra digital assistant to automatically collect information on requests from government agencies. Previously, within the framework of internal processes, the robot could not read data from documents, and employees had to enter them into the system manually. And this is a laborious process, because annually the number of requests from government agencies is growing by 20%. To optimize and speed up data processing, Rosbank has applied a number of digital solutions, including Directum intelligent services.
For this robot, "Lavra" was taught to read and understand the requirements of the Federal Tax Service on the Directum platform, in particular:
- name of the Federal Tax Service;
- number and date of the claim;
- deadline for submission of documents;
- name of the person (for legal entities - TIN, for individuals - full name and date of birth);
- requested documents.
Employees have the ability to upload a scan copy or photo of the required document and recognize it without reprinting the document attributes in screen forms. The interface of operating systems prompts with color encoding which attributes were recognized as confidently as possible and which ones require mandatory user verification, "explained Zinaida Yastrebtseva, Director of the IT Operations and Processing Platforms Department of Rosbank. |
When identifying a certain text, AI services give the robot a signal to verify the task of preparing a response. For example, if the tool counted the words "statement" or "account movement" from the requirement, then the task automatically displays a "check mark" in the corresponding field.
As a result, Rosbank managed to increase the efficiency of the business process by 28%. Thanks to this, it turned out to redistribute department employees to other processes.
As of June 2024, functionality is also available in the Internet bank for legal entities and in Rosbank operating systems. The digital assistant is designed to simplify the process for customers who receive services from non-residents or provide services to foreign counterparties.

Rosbank's operating function uses AI services created on the Directum platform and in other business processes for the following documents:
- resolutions of the FSSP;
- extracts from bailiffs: data are extracted from them to search for the client on whom enforcement proceedings are instituted;
- mortgage agreements;
- invoices;
- certificates of works performed.
So, for accounts and acts, Rosbank uses Directum AI services to recognize images of documents from its foreign trade clients. Services are trained in more than a thousand formats of acts provided by customers as supporting documents for currency control.
