2023: Export output accelerated by 30%

The company "Micron," in the first six months of participation in the national project "Labor Productivity" by 30% accelerated the production of export products on a pilot stream through lean production tools with the support of experts from the Federal Center of Competence (FCC). This was announced on July 14, 2023 by the press service of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

Micron joined the federal project "Targeted Support for Labor Productivity at Enterprises" in August 2022. The goal of the project is to optimize the production process with lean production tools, without additional costs. The project was piloted at the photolithography site of 150-mm plates - one of the key stages in the production of semiconductors, which ensures the accurate formation of elements and the quality of products, including those intended for export.

In accordance with the lean production methodology, 7 types of production losses were analyzed and a number of tools were introduced aimed at reducing them, minimizing time loss, efficient use of existing resources and rational organization of the working space.

As part of the optimization, the company adjusted the areas of responsibility, interaction of functional employees, regulatory breaks, formed professional competencies matrices, developed 15 standard operating procedures, updated the category management methodology, and also reorganized workplaces and introduced additional motivation for employees. The lean production methods developed on the pilot stream will be replicated to the remaining technological processes of the enterprise. This will allow the company to save more than 50 million rubles over the year of participation in the project and direct them to the development of microelectronics production, "said Gennady Dogtev, General Director of the Moscow Technopolice SEZ.

The rationalization of business processes during standard operations allowed the enterprise to reduce the production time of plates on a pilot stream by almost 30% and reduce work in progress by 12.5%. At the same time, the employee's output per month increased by almost 13%, and the time for equipment reconfiguration was reduced by 30 minutes, which amounted to 2 hours a day.

The demand for microelectronics is growing, and our company is interested in tools to improve labor productivity to maximize order security. Thanks to the implemented measures, the economic effect at the first stage amounted to more than 25 million rubles. 22 employees of the enterprise underwent training in eight areas of lean production, of which two received certificates from an internal coach and are already successfully using their skills to retrain staff, "said Vera Levchenko, Head of the Management Systems Development Department of the Enterprise Quality Management Directorate, Project Program Manager.

The company's working group, together with us, diagnosed the process and developed solutions that had a quick and noticeable effect. Thus, the introduction of preliminary preparation for equipment reconfiguration made it possible to reduce the duration of the technical process. The development of operator standards, the preparation of templates at the beginning of the shift increased production by 7% only at this stage. In addition, the loss of time associated with routine breaks has been minimized by developing a schedule of multi-competencies and additional training of employees who can replace each other at certain stages, - said Stanislav Lobanov, project manager of the FCC.

2022: производительность.рф Platform Employee Training Plan

Micron, a resident of the SEZ "Technopolice Moscow," a participant in the national project "Labor Productivity," on November 15, 2022 announced that he would organize training for employees of the enterprise on the IT platform производительность.рф under the profile program "Labor Productivity," in which enterprises from 78 regions of the Russian Federation participate. To implement the project, four working groups were formed at the enterprise, which included 19 Micron employees from various departments. The pilot site of the project was the process of manufacturing a voltage regulator for auto electronics, one of Micron's serial export products intended for use in the automotive industry.

Products for automotive electronics have been mastered by Micron in serial production since 2018, as of November 2022, the nomenclature for instrument units includes 10 types of commercially available and ready-to-supply microcircuits, another 32 types of microcircuits are ready for development. The chips are included in the Register of Domestic Industrial Products, and the quality management system is certified in accordance with the requirements of the international standard IATF 16949 in the field of "Design and production of integrated circuits in the form of crystals on plates" for the automotive industry.

Participants of the national project "Labor Productivity" will have systematic work on the development of lean production methods and progressive tools for improving business processes aimed at increasing labor productivity - an indicator that characterizes the effectiveness of work per unit of time.
