2022: Upgrade the cash line and offload the IT department with Set Retail
Crystal Service Integration (CSI) announced on November 11, 2022 that Volzhskaya Korzinka, a distributor of the Quality Factory meat processing plant, has modernized the cash line of its stores based on the Set Retail system.
In May 2022, the retailer completed the update of processes related to the work of cash registers. As a result of the project, the company noted improvements in the operation of stores, reduced the burden on the IT department and began to use other tools. The basis of the project was the transfer of all 100 cash desks of stores to the Set Retail system. Integration of cash software with the ERP system was configured with the support of Arta.
The main change is that the retail chain has switched to centralized work with cash registers and scales in stores. With the Set Scales module, the retailer automated the loading of the assortment matrix onto the trading scales, reduced the labor costs of operators and the likelihood of errors, now the process is controlled by one coordinator in the central office. Regular price updates for a number of products over the network take 20 minutes. A tool for tracking the delivery of data to the scales has appeared - you can see whether information has loaded everywhere where you need to clean the memory. If the connection breaks during loading, then after the restoration of the communication channels, the information reaches without loss.
An additional bonus was the price fixing tool - in the system it is always known when and who changed it, this made the process of working with prices more transparent. Customized online access to sales data helps to more accurately draw orders for suppliers, flexibly form an assortment in the store.
The remote cash desk administration tool allows you to connect to cash desks remotely from anywhere with the Internet, configure and fix errors. The very "deployment" of cash desks has also been significantly simplified - the cash desk on Set Retail can be launched in 10-15 minutes, which reduced the labor costs of IT specialists by 3 times compared to the previous cash program. The simple interface of the system accelerated the work of cashiers, and the training time of sellers was reduced from 1 day to half an hour.
The company is also developing bakeries - their cash desks also earned at Set Retail. After the update, the retailer launched loyalty promotions in all retail outlets. They are centrally set up using Set loyalty tools. Customers of the chain can already receive discounts on dairy products depending on the expiration date, bakeries have promotions by time, discounts for pensioners, and cashiers can make discounts on their own products.
In this project, the company automated many business processes, made them transparent and convenient for employees. I note, for example, the system for updating cash registers, when in one window you work with all the stores of the network at once, or the process of downloading goods to the scales. Everything works stably. Part of what I had previously done myself, I was able to pass on to my colleagues and direct my time to solving other problems. Prospects for further development of the project with other tools of the Set family and thank colleagues from CSI for their professional approach, noted Dmitry Lapin, Chief information officer of Volzhskaya Korzinka (Mayorov Group of Companies).
