2022: Introduction of corporate architecture modeling system based on Russian SILA Union software

On October 31, 2022, Rosatom announced that Rosenergoatom had completed the introduction of a corporate architecture modeling system (QMS) based on Russian SILA Union software.

According to the company, within the framework of a comprehensive project, which is being implemented within the framework of the state program for supporting developers of domestic software, it was possible to achieve the goal in the field of import substitution of software for managing business architecture, and in terms of IT architecture, to build a methodology and tools for its design.

The project, the main executor of which was the manufacturer of SILA Union software, was implemented in the Central Office of the Concern "Rosenergoatom, as well as in its branches - at Russian nuclear power plants.

As part of the import substitution of ARIS software with SILA Union software, work was carried out to create a tool for designing an IT architecture and reproducing the current business architecture methodology. The more flexible tools used in SILA Union software made it possible not only to fully preserve the current functionality, but also due to the possibility of creating notations, to expand it compared to the previously used foreign software.

Thanks to the built-in data import tools, the transfer of all information from the old system was carried out as soon as possible: over 1600 business process models were successfully transferred . The executor in the system developed tools for internal automation of data processing, including the generation of more than 30 types of analytical reports, including tabular forms and document templates.

The developed system includes various practices, all the capabilities of ARIS software and has extensive opportunities for analyzing and optimizing business processes. The QMS has formed a unified database of the Group's process models, indicators, goals and risks, which allows us to uniquely determine the boundaries and relationships of processes, as well as the areas of responsibility of participants. The functionality of the system allows you to automatically generate documents (Process Passport, Procedure) and process reports based on the data entered in it. In turn, Elena Silkina, Managing Partner of SILA Union, noted that this project not only allows implementing the recommendations of the Government of the Russian Federation on the import substitution program, but also lays a strong foundation for the development of process management and changes in the organization.
