In turn, the driver, based on his own knowledge of the location of the goods and the expiration dates on the balances, tried to pick up the goods according to the FEFO principles. The combination of these operations required significant time to search for goods.

Now the tasks for the collector are generated in the system and output to the shipping documentation. AXELOT WMS X5 plans replenishment tasks using the min-max method in such a way that there is always the necessary product in the selection area. The forklift driver is assigned to release the product in advance before the pickers need it. All work related to shelf life control and FEFO compliance is undertaken by WMS. The system plans selection taking into account batches of goods, as well as taking into account the requirements of various buyers for residual shelf life. At the pick-and-pack site, the item is processed through a structural bar code scan, which eliminates errors associated with re-seeding.

AXELOT WMS X5 is integrated with the company's CIS using the DATAREON MQ message queue service, thanks to which it was possible to establish an operational exchange of information between systems to maintain the relevance of data on stock balances and commodity movements.
