2022: System Development

The Moscow Corporation has developed a system for monitoring the condition of bridges.

The development can also be applied to production facilities, aerospace projects and medicine.

This was announced on November 29, 2022 by the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The continuous monitoring system includes acoustic emission sensors, which, using sound waves, allow you to assess the state of bridge structures and record even the smallest cracks in the bearing structures. In the event of a significant defect, the system sends a signal to the dispatcher and sends the exact coordinates of the problem area and recommendations for action to the maintenance personnel. The development is primarily relevant for tracking the condition of bridges that are more than 50 years old or are located in the permafrost zone and in areas with high seismicity. Such sensors have already been installed on more than 20 structures, - said Vladislav Ovchinsky.

Appropriate monitoring can also be used at large industrial facilities, which will significantly reduce the number of planned repairs. In order for specialists to better understand and correctly interpret visual signals, the company conducts training. Such sensors are already actively used by leading enterprises in the oil and gas and chemical industries.

The monitoring system is completely autonomous and functions continuously. Once a day, she independently checks the operation of the sensors. If at least one of them fails, the dispatcher receives a warning signal.
