Smart speakers VK Capsule and VK Capsule Mini are now installed in children's departments of 11 hospitals throughout Russia - these are primarily oncological and trauma departments, where patients are forced to spend a lot of time. Marusya's voice assistant will turn on the music, tell fairy tales and play with patients. This was announced by VK on December 8, 2022.  

Time spent in the hospital is not the most pleasant moments in the life of any person, and even more so a child. Medical professionals try to brighten up as much as possible the few hours that patients spend in the clinic so that they have as little time as possible to think about possible complications, to worry about how their treatment will go. Smart speakers with Marusya have become a serious assistant for parents whose children are operated on in the department. The opportunity to ask Marusya to tell a fairy tale and distract the child, play a game with her - all this helps children more easily endure the stress of waiting for the upcoming operation and distract from the unpleasant sensations after it. There are plans to equip the wards with smart home features such as light control, curtains and air conditioning. After all, the ability to do something or find out some information without getting out of bed in the hospital ward is very important, told the head of the trauma department No. 3 of the Clinic of High Medical Technologies named after N.I. Pirogov, St. Petersburg State University, orthopedic traumatologist, Ph.D. Zavarukhin Vladimir Ivanovich.
