History

2023: Construction begins

In January 2023, the St. Petersburg government entered into an agreement with the Modern Perinatal Technologies company on a project to build a perinatal center on Vavilovs Street in the Kalininsky district of the city. Investments in the launch and purchase of equipment will amount to about 15 billion rubles, the project is being implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) scheme.

The project implementation period will be four years, Gazprombank is a financial partner.

The new medical institution will act as a perinatal center (the main area of ​ ​ activity is to help the population to improve reproductive health, increase the birth rate and prevent genetic diseases).

A women's consultation, inpatient departments with 260 beds, a neonatological hospital with 45 beds, a bacteriological laboratory and a molecular diagnostics laboratory, as well as a radiation and magnetic resonance diagnostics department will be opened. The implementation of the project will help create more than 1,000 jobs.

It is noted that the center will provide, among other things, assistance in the difficult course of pregnancy, in the presence of risks of premature birth, as well as women with impaired reproductive function.

The medical facility will employ 680 people each shift. It is planned that the provision of medical services in the center will be carried out under the compulsory health insurance system (compulsory medical insurance).
