Due to growth of the company and entry into new competitive markets there was a need for reduction of temporary costs for implementation of communications and increase in efficiency of joint work of employees, including for territorially remote divisions of the Ural branch Comstar Regions Ltd.
Besides, means on automation of work of staff of department of IT in which there was no centralized system of accounting of requests of users for implementation of technical works owing to what work of department poorly gave in to control was required.
In search of the solution which would meet all imposed requirements specialists of the Ural branch Comstar Regions Ltd addressed the partner company – Softline. Engineers of Softline constructed the portal solution and the workflow system, having taken as a basis the software product of Microsoft company - SharePoint Server 2010.
The Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 DBMS were involved in the project on implementation of technologies of joint work, in addition to Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010. Works on the project on the organization of a system of joint work took place in close connection of IT department of the Ural branch Comstar Regions Ltd and specialists of the Center of solutions of Softline. Upon termination of works specialists of Softline held the training consultations for technical specialists COMSTAR Regions which then trained users.
In a project deliverable on implementation of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 the full portal solution for work of users was deployed. On the portal the module of approval of agreements and also the system of technical support of users of HelpDesk with function of the reporting and tracking of processing of requests was created.
