2022: Production of cosmetics and perfumes in Moscow increased by 6.9%

In 2022, Moscow enterprises produced a total of more than 130 million makeup and skin care products, which is 8.5% higher than the volume of supplies a year ago. The production of all types of cosmetics, perfumes and hygienic products in the capital in 2022 increased by 6.9% compared to 2021. This was announced in early March 2023 by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

According to him, by the beginning of March 2023, there are more than 30 cosmetic production enterprises in Moscow, which employ more than 4 thousand people. The capital's enterprises produce cosmetics, care and hygiene products, as well as perfumes for adults and children. Efimov linked the growth in production of such products with additional demand for domestic products due to the growing range of local enterprises and brands, as well as the departure of some foreign manufacturers from the Russian market.
