2023: Introduction of Smart Operating MVS

In the military clinical hospital named after A.A. Vishnevsky earned smart operating rooms from the company "Medical Imaging Systems" (is a resident of "Skolkovo"). Representatives of the Skolkovo Foundation reported this to Zdrav.Expert on March 29, 2023.

According to them, doctors at a military hospital can record operations, display the image on a large viewing monitor in the wall and organize video conferences from cardiac surgery operating centers anywhere in the world. Also, employees can monitor the actual load of operating rooms and schedule planning. The complex of the company "Medical Imaging Systems" is built into the existing operating rooms of the old model.

"Our resident team took the important step of integrating a smart operating room into the walls of an old-style operating room. Thus, they confirmed that the product is combined with the current infrastructure of the medical organization and can significantly improve it. This removes the restriction on scaling the platform, which, taking into account the recently received investments, opens up new horizons for the company, "said Yulia Shcheglova, senior project manager of the Skolkovo Foundation's biomedical technology cluster.

Sections of the clean room module with built-in monitors, information boards and socket units, as well as MVS software are installed in the tile walls. The technological solution made it possible to get the customer all the capabilities of the integrated operating room in a short time.

As noted, the doctors of the military clinical hospital named after Vishnevsky began to record operations on all connected sources: an image from the patient's monitor of the anesthesiological stand, a video of the viewing camera inside the operating room, an image from the head camera of the operating surgeon. The operation archives become a training base.

Residents can now monitor the progress of the operation without entering the sterile zone and interfering with the work of the operating team. Thanks to the video management function, surgeons take close-up images from video sources to a large viewing monitor in the wall.

The videoconference function is in demand in the cardiac surgery center, when doctors observe the operation online and are ready to give advice at any time, as well as outside it. It helps to solve one of the main tasks of the hospital: conducting telemedicine consultations with regional clinics, methodological and organizational support in its profile.

Through the web interface from the hospital's work computer, you can schedule a future operation and see what is happening at the moment. Access to the archive, where video recordings of operations on connected sources are stored, is also carried out through MVS Platform services.
