Telemedicine platform Medsenger helps doctors of the "Medical Center XXI Century" remotely monitor the condition of patients

Customers: 21st Century Medical Center

Product: Medsenger.AI Telemedicine Platform

Project date: 2022/08  - 2023/01
Project's budget: 60,000,000 rubles руб.

2023: Implementation of the Medsenger telemedicine platform

The Medsenger telemedicine platform with AI elements for remote patient monitoring has been introduced at the 21st Century Medical Center. The project budget amounted to more than 60 million rubles, of which the size of the Skolkovo grant under the Digital Economy of the Russian Federation national project exceeded 48 million rubles. This was reported on April 17, 2023 by the press service of the Skolkovo Foundation.

With the help of the Medsenger platform of iPat (Skolkovo resident) and TelePat, the clinic provides patients with subscriptions for remote monitoring and treatment, complementing traditional methods of medical care.

The principle of the platform is based on the formation of a personal communication channel that provides effective online interaction with the patient. The doctor adjusts the prescribed treatment, gives additional recommendations, advises the patient, and also promptly decides on the need and methods of providing medical care.

The introduction of the Medsenger telemedicine platform has significantly expanded the doctor's ability to consult patients, provide medical support at another level, and improve the availability of medical care, including accompanying patients with COVID-19 and home rehabilitation. Counseling is conducted in full accordance with the law, and the patient's personal data is in the secure circuit of Rostelecom,
noted Anna Sokolova, director of the 21st Century Medical Center.

One of the key features of the platform is the Medsenger.AI service. The medical messenger allows you to connect specialized remote monitoring scenarios. Among them, sending questionnaires and reminders, a diary of medication, information materials and intelligent algorithms for monitoring the patient's condition.

The practice of using personal health monitoring devices has begun to gain momentum. This makes it possible for doctors to quickly respond in the event of a change in the patient's condition and timely adjust the administration of drugs. In addition, remote monitoring solves the problem of lack of medical personnel and increases the convenience of undergoing treatment for the patients themselves. The project of the Medical Center "XXI Century" was the sixth in a row to demonstrate the results of the implementation under the program of supporting pilot IT projects,
added Ekaterina Stolbova, director of the project office of the Skolkovo Foundation.

The development is based on the technology of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. The system processes information from various devices for home monitoring of the patient's health, analyzes the obtained data, generates notifications to the doctor and sends additional information to the patient.

For example, in Medsenger.AI, a doctor may prescribe the necessary drug therapy to the patient, and the platform will automatically remind about the schedule of administration and dosage. The state change is reflected in the graphs and the "heat map." If the patient does not record the use of drugs in the service, the system will send a notification to the doctor.

The project implementation period was 22 months. As of April 2023, 200 doctors, 1,166 patients took part in it, and more than 500 people already use the remote medical consultation service in various forms.

It is planned to scale the technology, in particular the introduction into the field of public health.
